Anyone know how to change gun sounds to bow sounds for the 3.3.5 client? TBC Blackrock

Bumping this thread up because I am also interested in this topic. Wanting to transmog my crossbow to a gun but I am usually pretty annoyed by the gun sound. Is there any way to change/delete the sound from the game?

Maybe someone has already done the work for you, but...

Take an mpq editor, then find in the game files the gun sounds you want to replace, then make a copy of the crossbow sounds and rewrite the gun sounds with them.
