Why is it that in the year 2026 of our lord the servers are still PvP?

I genuinely do not get it. Every time I level a character 90% of people who attack me are either level 80 or at least 5 levels above me. It might have been fun to do world PvP 15-20 years ago. But now, it's honestly no fun at all, there's 0 benefit to world PvP and purely frustrating just having to run back because some ******* decided to press 2 buttons to feel good about themselves.
