WotLK Character Name Stolen Immediately After Deletion

Hello everyone,

I’m posting because something very suspicious happened with my character name!

I deleted my character "Nz" on the Icecrown realm, and literally within seconds the name was taken by another account. It happened so fast that it seems impossible for someone to manually claim it that quickly.

After looking around, I’ve seen that other players have experienced the same issue. Two letter names being taken instantly after deletion. This makes it feel like there may be exploits or bots or automated scripts monitoring and instantly claiming deleted names.

What’s even more frustrating is that, GMs don’t provide any assistance in these cases, which leaves me and others feeling helpless when this happens.

There could be a bot (farm) attempting to grab desirable names, that includes few letter names.

Best you can do is report it, and, just maybe, a GM will do some checks to see if there are links to past ToS breaking accounts/IP's.

Same **** happens in Runescape. Higly valued names are obtained through illegitimate means and RMT'd forwards.

I already made ticket but seems GM not gonna do anything. They just replayed with premade message!

What message? That rage baiting message "high gnome inquisitor who finds people guilty by striking light" or something like that?
or that message "We will investigate further"?
