I've been raid leading on a private server for a while and got tired of bouncing between WCL (overkill for our community), UwU Logs (great but Lordaeron-focused), and homemade spreadsheets. So I built Skald — a free combat log analyzer focused on what actually matters for a raid night.
What it does
DPS / HPS per player, per fight, smoothed 3s curves
Compliance check — who forgot their food/flask before the pull
Top kills cross-logs — see where your raid ranks on each boss
Class / spec stats distribution with percentiles (median, top 25/10/5/1%)
Death recap — what killed each player, who tried to save them, what CDs were missed
Boss mechanics tracking — who ate the Flame Jets, who avoided Defile, etc.
Per-server stats — raid population, top guilds, weekly activity
Discord webhook to auto-post your raid summary in your guild channel
How it's different
Free, no paywall, no premium tier
Privacy: the converter runs offline in your browser (your log never leaves your PC except a JSON summary you choose to upload)
Multi-server: Lordaeron, Icecrown, Frostmourne, Blackrock, Onyxia, Angrathar, Ashamane, Sirus — request more in-app
7 languages (EN, FR, DE, ES, IT, RU, AR)
How to use it
Download the offline Skald Converter (single HTML file) ? drop your WoWCombatLog.txt in it
Upload the resulting .skald.json on Skald
Pick your server + guild name ? done
Whole flow takes ~2 min for a 4h raid log.
What's coming
More boss mechanics coverage
TBC + Vanilla support (currently WotLK 3.3.5 only)
Discord OAuth login (already live actually)
Looking for
Feedback: anything missing, broken, or just annoying — DM me or use the in-app Bug/Request button
Tester guilds: if your guild is OK with publicly uploading logs, more data = better cross-log rankings for everyone
I'm not affiliated with Warmane, just another raider scratching an itch. Built and maintained by me solo. Hosting and dev time are funded out of pocket + ads (small, dismissible, no tracking) — /soutenir has a Tipeee/Ko-fi if you want to chip in but it's not required.
