Why do people feel the need to camp low level zones, killing everyone. Level 80's camping a level 35 zone is so beyond toxic. Been trying to get passed level 37 for DAYS and can't because there is ALWAYS a horde rogue or mage camping the alliance area. Do people get anything out of it? What's the point other than being a POS?
All camped by horde. I've tried everywhere. It's impossible. I've been trying to level for 3 days passed these zones.. I've gained 2 levels in 3 days..
If it makes you feel any better: it's no better as a horde player.
Of all the "PvP" encounters I've been in, only 1 of them was an actual fair fight, the rest were just me getting murdered by a max level player. I don't consider it to be "PvP" when one player literally can't hit the other. It's just straight-up griefing.
And Shred, I hate to be the one to break this to you: but it happens everywhere, not just STV. Hell, I just got murdered in Azshara, and no one goes to that place.
And the worst part, GMs don't care at all. They don't consider it disruptive behavior. Which is against the rules. They only consider cheating disruptive. Like being camped in a graveyard by a max level, fully pvp geared player camping a level 35 isn't disrupting their gameplay. They just say "Its all part of the PvP experience. If you don't like it, just play a non-pvp oriented server." Its honestly just obnoxious. I got called ******ed by a GM for disagreeing with that statement. LMAO
Meanwhile ninja looting is also "playing according to game mechanics and game design" yet that's a bannable offense.
To be clear: I'm not arguing the rules, the people offering this free service (for which I'm grateful) can run the servers as they see fit and I'm fine with that. Just saying that it does set a bit of a double-standard to say that ninja looting is bannable while corpse camping isn't when both are things that are baked into the design/mechanics of the game.
get camped as lowie and later camp lowies, thats the cycle of wow. always has been.
You can break the cycle, you know. It's sad to see a 4k gs guy killing lowbies because he hit the fos/pos wall and doesn't know what to do in the game other than inconveniencing other players.
They don't just do this in those zones, but also in the wotlk arrival areas when you've reached level 68.
The reason they do it is almost certainly because they were given the same "treatment" when they were at level 68 and so now they are getting revenge.
This, of course, is something done by both sides. So, grit your teeth and hold on because there will always be someone ready to break your balls and bore you, whether it's horde or alliance.
It doesn't end at endgame gear. Multiboxers camping entire zones to kill all alliance trying to reach lv 80. I know of one. Almost all endgame geared people I know hate that player.
For this reason, me and many of my friends stopped playing on the server.
Until the PVE mode is introduced, the online mode will be small, no one likes PVP.
