WotLK Mercenary mode and cross realm BGs are dog****

I play on onyxia.
Not only I am waiting 30 minutes for WSG or AB specific even at friday night, but can anyone explain to me while I as a horde am matched with several clowns from Icecrown while opposite team is stacked with people from Blackrock?

People from Icecrown are bellow 2k GS. I have mercenary mode on, so if there is so little people on aliance side why I am never put there as aliance?

Bgs are so one sided every time. I dont recall this from gaming in the past.
Also its usual to give one side 4 healers and opposite faction has 0.

Dont even let me start on Graccu's Mince Meat Fruitcake which only Blackrock players can obtain and its giving them some advantage.

Alliance usually has more PvP players in Wotlk because of the human racial. That's why mercenary mode wouldn't work as much if you're Horde because there are enough players from that faction in queue. Blackrock players because they only play PvP would gravitate toward Alliance because of that.

It is late in the phase and a good chunk of players aren't in battlegrounds. There isn't much reason to be if you've been here from the start. That's why queue is kinda slow right now.

It's pretty normal in random battlegrounds to have shut out games on either faction. Just yesterday all the games I played Horde absolutely crushed Alliance. It was teams full of bored 4k+ players and Alliance just had a bunch of newer players. It's just how random works. You have good and bad days.

Is there any way to sign up for arena without Blackrock-Onyxia mixing?

No, you get to RBG as a fresh 80, you get against like 4,7-4,8k you come close (in my case 4,5k) you get moved to Blackrock bracket every one is 5,5k and you are 4k+ so again you get farmed, you get some gear and get to like 5,2k and you feel like you finally have a chance against fresh 5,5k Blackrock chars, but you get moved to BIS bracket against 6k+
So yea, you get farmed in all 3 brackets, you que arena with 0 rating every enemy team is Blackrock fresh, or in my case one of the first was against a Shadowmourne lol.
Not sure for Ony, but I think it's the same.
You will lose rbg as Horde 9/10 times, and when I got into ally side by merc mode I won every single game, got Iron men in WSG as a ally etc.
It is what it is, go with it or just leave if you are against ally primade and wait 15 min.

Is there anything that can be done to improve the cross-realm brackets? I got tired of being against 6k+ groups with my 5.5k chars, and found the lower bracket to be much more enjoyable, so I made several new characters with the intention to keep them around 4.8k max to avoid being moved to the higher bracket. But just like someone mentioned above, as soon as I hit around 4.6k, I started being put against 5.5k-5.7k Blackrock chars (I'm horde on Icecrown). I understand that both factions should in theory benefit from having Blackrock players on our side, but if people tend to gravitate towards ally on Blackrock, a lot of groups end up with 3k-4k horde teams against 5.5k-5.7k ally teams.... and then, like someone else said, if I improve my gear to match them around 5.2k-5.5k I'm no longer in the same bracket with those Blackrock chars, and instead get moved up to the Icecrown bracket that includes 6k+ chars... Is there ANY way to achieve consistent brackets where we have some sort of balance and know what to expect? Like I said, I'm willing to keep my gear low to stay in my desired bracket, but I don't understand why 5.5k-5.7k Blackrock chars are put in the low Icecrown bracket instead of the higher one? That's gotta be a mistake, right? Why not put them with the other 5k+ bracket?

Blackrock is a hand me down server, they get batter gear like Togc25 etc, you can get 2xSolace on a healer there (good luck getting Togg Solace on Lorda for example) so yea they are keeping all the Blackrock babies happy with being op in bracket, instead of moving them to max bracket, so making fresh Blackrock char and going RBG is like getting full bis char and getting in max bracket as full bis, sure other full bis have a fair fight against you but all the rest of regulars are getting farmed, so yea Blackrock chars being op in there bracket as fresh chars is so stupid, but hey I quess Blackrock would die if they went against bis as fresh Blackrock lol, no fun in playing pvp only realm if you can't be op when you start I quess, don't question it, forum is full of people asking same things and Warmane gonna keep ignoring it, also when I was in Blackrock bracket as Horde with merc mode on almost every Blackrock char was on ally side so we would get farmed, merc mode is a joke.
