Ravage bug

I've made a couple of forum posts about this bug, and a few bug reports over the years, but it always goes unanswered or just gets tagged as "unconfirmed". Can we get a confirmation if this spell is working as intended, or if it is indeed a bug?

The hunter pet spell known as ravage has a stun effect, which is trinketable, but it also knocks you down. That knockdown effect is the only spell I know of in WOTLK that is not possible to trinket, iceblock or blink out off. You're stuck in place for the duration of that stun, no matter what. It does not show you having any sort of debuff when you're stuck in place, which is what I find odd and leads me to believe it is not working as intended.

If you look at various sources for the spell in WOTLK, there's no mention of it having an untrinketable root effect, or any root effect at all for that matter.
