1. How did you get into World of Warcraft

My brother got me into it.
Believe it or not, it's the ONLY video game i have played till now, and sadly invested more time than i should have as a teenager.
I'm sure it would have been better if I had never known.

  2. Brother's friend gave his game and account with some game time left to my brother towards the end of the TBC to test WoW. At that time we "only" had 1 PC, so naturally I got to have a go at it as well with the time that was already paid for. We liked it, so we bought WotLK and made an account ourselves. I was filthy casual during WotLK, so casual that I could swear I was only in ONE ICC 10 pug raid (sometime towards the end of WotLK). We didn't get BQL down sadly.

I remember spamming dungeons before RDF was a thing with a DK tank and a Shaman healer with my ****ty Undead Fury Warrior.

  3. As a kid I saw it on game magazines for years. Played a lot of F2P MMO's until I learned that I can just connect to a private server with a simple change of line with notepad. I found one and played there for like 2 years. It had a lot of bugs and connection problems and low population (Barely had 20 people online to run a 25 man raids at night.) but still had a lot of enjoyment in it until they for what ever reason decided to upgrade it to Cataclysm. It became even buggier and died at the end. Now I'm here, atleast this time I can enjoy the PVP side of it. :D

  4. I was watching a video about the history of online games in 2025, and for the first time, I didn't ignore WoW. It was interesting to watch about in-game incidents, raiding, and so on. After that video, I watched a lot of lore videos and then gameplay videos again. The next day, I downloaded the most popular private server in my region. I grinded to level 68 and quit. After 5-6 months, a new realm was started, and I created a new character. I grinded to level 80, but I got tired and quit again. 2 months later, I started playing on Warmane, and I don't plan on quitting

  5. I remember my cousin was the first to show me WoW. We started out in Vanilla retail and not long after TBC released I build him a private servert using a YouTube video so that we could .additem all of the new weapons and armor and noclip through all the new raids at the time.

He promised to buy me a laptop if i could create the server but he never followed thru xDD

Oh i wish i could go back to those times :p

I was bored. A friend of mine was like....You should play WoW. So I said ok and started playing it.

I started playing WoW when I was looking for an MMORPG to play, after trying Lineage 2... Before playing WoW, I thought it was a game with cartoonish graphics, but when I started playing, I realized it was the best MMO I had ever played! I was bored of playing Counter-Strike and League of Legends, and I found the Warmane server thanks to a YouTube video.

Got into it after getting addicted to Warcraft 3. Played Vanilla at launch when I was about 11 years old. Needless to say I didn't know jack **** about building your character correctly as far as stats and specs go. I recall having a mage with the ugliest, cringiest sounding name ever, Wyldfyre, and stacked agility on him. At least he was a troll... so I guess I had the right racial.
