This has been on my mind for a while now and I'm considering making a bunch of multiboxing teams to create outrageous amounts of gold every day, since its allowed. Hear me out:
One set of 25 dailies gives you roughly 900 gold. I've been doing dailies on my single character for a while now but I noticed multiboxers doing dailies too and it got me thinking. Just how much gold can they create every day?
If I make 900g on a single character, they make 4500g with one multiboxing team of 5 character. It takes me about 45 minutes to do all my dailies but lets round it up to 1 hour. Now imagine if this was done 10 times per day, you make 10 80s on each account and do the dailies on every single character. Sure, it takes 10 hours to do that but you would create 45000g. 45 THOUSAND GOLD, in a single day.
And that's just what one player can do, I can only imagine how many unemployed people are already doing this to create gold, control the economy and probably even earn a living IRL doing that, because it is allowed unlike botting which is bannable according to rules.
- You need to complete 25 quests, 10 times a day, every day. You'll get burned out after a week.
I actually wouldn't get burned out by doing quests. There's something about questing that I enjoy compared to farming beasts with skinning for example, that burns me out very quickly.
Have you ever done 250 quests a day? I can't imagine doing that regularly without getting burnt out.
This plan of yours may sound good in your head, and on paper, but in reality it's a whole different beast. Leveling up 10 different teams would be an insane chore. I played a multibox a few years ago because I wanted to see if I could do HC dungeons alone. It was extremely tedious. Not only because it takes time to do the quests, and the grinding, but because you're CONSTANTLY being ganked and camped by higher levels. I was extremely burnt out after just one team. I couldn't imagine doing that 9 more times.
Learning to play the auction house would be way less of a hassle, and probably even more profitable. There are hours upon hours of guides out there explaining in detail how to do it. It's just a major time investment, and requires some analytical skills.

Those are all fair points but I hate using the auction house. I genuinely get upset when my auctions expire or get undercut immediately and I don't want to spend my entire gaming session watching the damn auctions to make sure they sell. I'd rather quest for gold with a multiboxing team so I'm gonna give it a try.

Post your auctions for 12 hours. Log in every 12 hours, cancel everything, and repost. Never check if you've been undercut.
