Realms Death Knights shouldn't be able to whisper/global before 58th level.

A fresh Death Knight is able to whisper people and use global chatting, whilst a level 1 character has to reach level 7 first.

I think the same treatment should apply to Death Knights so that malicious people don't have an easy access to disturb others.

How the hell did you managed to compare a level 1 (A character you can create with a simple click of a button as soon as you create you account.) to a character that needs to reach level 55 with a main before get created? I don't think anybody malicious would bother to create a DK, grinding patiently for a whole damn 55 levels to commit their malicious activities.

Someone with a level 80 character can keep creating and deleting death knights to spam people. I think that's what the OP is talking about.

Seems like a lot of extra work for the admins, when they could just implement the change OP asked for. If I play BG for a few hours, I will get at least one DK whispering me when I've /ignored their main.

Like Baartleby2 said, these Death Knights are usually PvP players who will create a fresh DK to harass you personally or bloat the global chat. Very simple fix if you implement chat level requirement for Death Knights.

Lordaeron's starting area makes a Death Knight 58, and Icecrown's make it to 64 if the memory serves. Simply don't let them whisper/global before that.

Not to mention that they can remove themselves from your ignore list via deleting and recreating the character. Happened to me in the past. As I kept ignoring the DK, he deleted and made a new one.

Sure, he got banned for harassment but most cases would've been prevented if there was a chat level requirement for Death Knights.

Only allow it only once they've completed all quests and officially joined an faction. If that feels too harsh, then an earlier quest would make sense, or going by level.

I remember there was one guy I ignored and he was making new DKs to harass me for like an hour. He was whispering me some very sick disturbing things which I can't mention without getting banned. He admitted on those screenshots that he doesn't care if he gets banned because he has multiple accounts. I made a ticket with detailed screenshots of every char he whispered me. "We will investigate". He was never banned and he deleted all the chars long before the GM opened the ticket.

I think DKs shouldn't be able to whisper or use general/trade/global chat until their questline is fully completed and guards no longer throw them food.

It let me make a DK without needing a level 55 on Lorderon.
