What did you improve (PVP)

As the title says—What did you change to become much better at PvP? Why do you think some players stay at a 1,500 rating, others at 2k, and a small fraction reach 2.5+? Obviously, those at 2.5+ understand the game at a higher level, BUT what did YOU change to climb the ranks? Example:

I didn’t use keybinds before—now I use them and I’ve climbed to 1,500. I didn’t use this addon, and so on. I look forward to your answers.
Personally, I have a dilemma with targeting enemies 1-2-3 and focus.

The problem is probably an incorrectly implemented MMR system compared to Blizzard’s servers. On the official servers, after a season reset, the MMR is adjusted based on the maximum MMR from the previous season. On Warmane, everyone gets reset to 1500 across the board.

If this were adjusted, it might change the balance in the PvP ladder, or more importantly, it would help stabilize MMR much faster after the start of a new season. Right now, it takes up to a month for teams to settle into their proper rankings, whereas this could probably reduce it to two or three days.

It would also allow players who had high MMR in the previous season to gain rating faster right from the beginning of the new season.
