    Vpn

    Hello,

sorry if this question has already been answered, but my friend is currently abroad (New Zealand) and her local internet connection does not allow her to connect to Warmane services (not sure the reason, but logging stops at "connecting"). She is currently using a VPN provider (free subscription plan) to log into the game, but the location of the VPN access is randomized all over the world each time she connects (due to it being the free plan limitation). It's not really an issue for her, but she needs to use authentication via email code each time.

The question is, does Warmane track the changing IP addresses and is it possible she can be banned for this? She has access to her email, so frequent authentication is not really a problem.

    Thanks for the help.

Only if your friend lands on an IP that was banned for rule breaking. If that happens, she just needs to contact [email protected]

If the option for a ban appeal doesn't shows for you, that more than likely means you landed on a banned IP. That happens a lot with people who try using VPNs, since those services often have been used repeatedly to break our rules and try to get around bans. So, while you personally didn't do anything to earn a ban directly, your account still tried to use banned means to log in - again, bans always have a reason. On this case you should send an email to [email protected] instead and, if that was really the case, your ban will be lifted. Do note that even if those might be dealt with faster, they are still checked, so being banned for something else and trying to send an email to claim you're on a banned IP isn't going to work - or leave you with a good image on serious appeals.
