First character professions (Onyxia)

Just started and first character is shaman. I took skinning/herb as professions but herb is so slow to level… I always have to go back to previous zone since the 5x exp rate make me level too fast against herb…

Should I drop herb and take leatherworking? Or even tailoring? Just want to make a couple of golds

Sometimes it's just worth it to stop and level professions. If you started a new profession now, you'd need to go to lower level zones anyway to get materials, unless you want to spend money on AH.
