Did you do Seeking Strahad?
so that means that the pve aflic spec is totally useless on molten right?
if the haste dont work on ticks :S
No you misunderstand...it's not that haste "doesn't work at all" its that "it doesn't work how it should". BIG difference.
Haste is supposed to be checked when corruption is refreshed with everlasting affliction or recast. So the duration of corruption; the time between ticks would change every time corruption is cast or refreshed.
However, here on molten, haste is only checked when corruption is cast or recast. So the time between ticks never changes when corruption is refreshed. So when corruption is refreshed it only resets the duration to the time when haste was first applied (when it was cast). To simplify it: if you recast corruption when a haste trinket procs (as an example), as long as you keep it refreshed, you will have the same reduced duration for the entire fight.
This is an advantage in pvp and a disadvantage in pve.
but it decreases the dps right?
It can, not always though and a decrease in the dps is not the same as "totally useless". All it does is change how one plays and builds for an afflock, it is still viable and competitive spec.
edit: Before people understood how the bug worked, yes it made affliction difficult and hindered dps. Once people began to understand it, their dps increased.
Ok thanks for ur tip. ;)
Can someone explain to me how to use seed of corruption properly. Is there even a way or i have to spam it on packs than rain of fire? Im demo
Just spam it until there are like 3 mobs left, then dps the mobs normally. What i do is cast one, switch target, cast another, switch target ect. If there is no one else dpsing it when the first one explodes, they all will explode doing a lot of dmg. If there is multiple ppl sometimes it doesnt really matter u can just spam it on one target and it usually will explode when it hits the target (i just switch targets cause its a habit).
I already have socketed all slots with red gems except for two, to activate the meta of course,
Been meaning to ask:
When the socket bonus is a +9 or +7 Spell Power, is it worthwhile to gain said bonus or break the socket?
To answer that you have to look at the value of spirit and the amount of sp you get from it. As you know purified dreadstone is 12sp/10spirit.
For affliction:
10spirit * (30% from fel armor + 20% from GoLT) = 5sp
5+12=17
23-17=6
Therefore, if the socket bonus is 6sp or higher you should gem purified dreadstone, EVEN if you've already met your meta requirements.
For demo:
10spirit *39% from fel armor (with talent) = 4sp
4+12=16
23-16=7
Therefore if the socket bonus is 7sp or higher you should gem purified dreadstone EVEN if you've already met your meta requirements.
For demo with GoLT:
10*(39%+20%)=6sp
6+12=18
23-18=5
So a socket bonus of 5sp or higher.
For destro
10*30%=3sp
3+12=15
23-15=8
So a socket bonus of 8 or higher blah blah blah.
My question though is do we use the purified dreadstone in both the red and the blue or just in the blue if we have an item that has just red and blue sockets? (kinda a stupid question but lol).
But red meets the socket requirements of a red socket anyway, so there would be no need to use a purified dreadstone to get the bonus.
