Decided to release version 1.1.4.0 a few days early due to Molten taking the Statistics panel off of the home page, causing the program to die. So here's the latest version, complete with an updater so you don't have to keep coming back here to get the latest version :p

A side note, due to Google caching the file I use to check for new versions it will take a while before I can upload the new file and your launcher to find the new version, so the launcher may be a bit behind the latest release.

They have taken the statistics panel offline for the time being, and I had to do the same in order for the program to not die when launched.

UPDATE:

Provided you were using Windows, you would download our launcher to connect to the realm. Unfortunately, we do not have a version of this launcher that is Mac supported. The creation of such a thing is not easy, also. You see, the purpose of the special launcher is to allow the Cataclysm client to communicate with the Cataclysm host server. Blizzard added new encrypted and randomized codes in Cataclysm, which is why they must be used now, but not with Wrath of the Lich King.

Considering that this will now make my launcher both incompatible and obsolete, I will do my best to emulate the same method Molten will be using in my launcher in order to keep a place in relevance.

On Greymane launch day a small update will be released to re-enable the statistics panel as well as introduce a few bug fixes. I will attempt to decompile and decipher Molten's cata launcher for use with my own.

EDIT: Upon further investigation I've found that all the "Launcher" is going to do is run a modified WoW.exe that allows you to play on private Cata servers. My launcher will absolutely work with this. I will also implement a downloader that goes and grabs Molten's official .exe

UPDATE:

Version 1.1.4.1 is here. I've emulated the newly-released Molten launcher perfectly and implemented it into my launcher. It creates a backup folder with your original 'Launcher.exe' and 'WoW.exe' and downloads Molten's custom 'WoW.exe' from the Google Code server. I did this in order to save on space. The launcher would be ~15MB instead of only ~5MB if I were to include the .exe locally.

great work i can say, but i have a problem, i just DL the launcher but is crash at the first 2 sec, i have windows 7 x64 for the issues

update: i apologize i think it was a google DL transference error, gave it some minutes till my 5th DL and now it works smooth, ill inform if see another issue

Hello, thank you for this program! I just found a bug :D I saw that the launcher it creates a "version" file . If you make this file Read-Only, and start the launcher, it will crash :) Maybe the launcher should create this file somewhere in "Local Settings" . :)

UPDATE:

Mostly an aesthetic update, but I've added some error checking to prevent crashing. The launcher was defaulting to 'Arial' if you don't have 'Morpheus' installed, so I've embedded the font to make it look like my preview shots on all PC's.

I've also attempted to fix the Cata .exe manipulation, but I don't think it's perfect yet.

When Molten puts the statistics back up for the other 7 servers the launcher will change from showing all zeros to actual values.

I wrote this so that everything I would need to play WoW on Molten was right there at my fingertips; an all-in-one sort of deal. I wrote this in my own free time; it took me around 3 days. I've seen other launchers that have been released and believe this to be by far and away the best.

Basically the program parses Molten's index.html and modifies it to fit certain needs.

I have come across a strange bug the launcher is in my molten cata directory yet for some reason every time I shut my PC down and come to load the launcher back up i have to set the directory all over again, this happens every time.

The launcher needs to successfully close to save your settings, so if you leave it open when you shut down it will not save your settings.

I download the launcher, and i've a problem, when i try to execute the cata after i choose the direction to the game they give me a error cant find backup/Launcher.exe, if i configure cataclysm to WOLTH icon on the lancher they works fine, and if configure version WOLTH to the cata icon on the Molten Launcher they give the same error.
