1. [Music] Endrilliance - Sonnet (For Bonnie)

Among all the other things I go about doing, I also produce a large spectrum of music genres.
This track in particular was made specifically for the ol' mushy memory of the first kiss with my lady.

  2. Ok you have to tell me how you pulled off that lead guitar part about 40 seconds in. I play guitar so I can record things like this but I don't really have the gear to make it sound great. Is there any certain VSTs that can give me quality sounding instruments? I have some live sound samples i put together to make what im kinda looking for but its not possible to get nice slides and pulloffs with them. (Im very new with making music electronically so these questions may sound ******ed im not sure.)

    On to my critique:
Im impressed with the ambiance mostly. I think you would get a better result if you picked up the higher ends of your guitar parts. They sound muffled and just a little touch of treble (at least to your lead part) to make them shine a bit would really be nice. I say this because that's your melody line, as soon as you start hearing the guitar that's what your drawn to. The main loop kind of fades into the background as the rhythm of the guitar takes control which allows for the lead part to come in smoothly (almost like it was expected to be there). Overall this is very nice and I am impressed.

To give you sort of an example of what Im thinking of give this a listen

It's not really the same thing that you have going on of course. However, the way the smooth ocean sound gets lost to the melody of the guitar is kinda where im going with the guitar parts you have used. I don't think making them as dominant in your track as they are in this one would be a good idea, but if you really listen to it you can get a feeling being carried from part to part of the song and that's kinda what i envision for yours.

(I don't know that any of this really makes sense and you should take it with a grain of salt. But that's kinda what i felt like saying after listening to your track a few times.)

  3. All of this was recorded and produced in my friends professional studio, including the guitar. See Klayton Scott's studio Here or Here for reference to what was done.

As with the majority of reviews on this short-lived (production) track, I will say it's in the perfect condition I intended it to be. Not to say I don't appreciate opinions and observations on it, I just simply created it to play specifically on my (very specific) sound system for her to hear it. The mastering is, as thus, a bit strange.

  4. Ok so it was live recordings cool. I thought it may have been done digitally and i was curious how it was done. Cool stuff really.

  5. o:
Just now saw this. I wish I could make stuff like this. :( It sounds... mmm... It's hard to describe. It just makes me want to swing my hips and put my hands in the air.
