Oh yes.. I'm also jealous of the Stormwind Guards' Armor.

Back in the day of glorius vanilla i played an undead mage.I didn't know that gray level mobs didn't give exp so for 1 week i only farmed the scarlet crusade mobs in the starting area. When i discovered you can get out of there i was like

Did a bunch of quests and then a run thru a dungeon.
Went to the AH and dumped all my inventory.
After reading some info on the forums realized I dumped a Mysterious Egg somewhere. Possibly a vendor or AH.
...hmmm there went a possible mount.....
Sold all of my greens/blues/purples on the AH for what they were worth to vendors back in TBC. Needless to say, I was constantly broke.
Did almost the same thing. I leveled as resto druid in vanilla (other specs were lol). Spammed moonfire and autoattacked with staffs and daggers. Most painful thing I ever did in wow.
When I finally hit 60 I could instantly go molten core with a good raiding guild because there were almost no druids. I think of it as a reward for my suffering ^_^
One month later though I rerolled horde with rl friends and never looked back
When I first made a rogue during mid BC I thought stamina was the best stat because it increased your health, so I was buying items with the highest stamina. It wasn't until an awesome rogue ran me through some dungeon and explained to me my errors.
I thought that the need and greed buttons were equal and completely random, so I would roll need on everything, even if I couldn't use it. When the guildies I was running Deadmines with asked me why was I needing everything, I said because its lucky.
When I first started playing I believed when a player told me that if I fell too high as a ghost I would "die" for a couple of days and wouldn't be able to play my character.
Just a couple of the noob moments I can remember.
One of the servers I played on was REALLY buggy and you could fly from SW to well pretty much where ever you wanted.
The next server I found and played on I was like WTF why I can't I use my flying mount in SW and why can't I fly towards that whirlpool in the center of the map!
The next thing I found out that mounts weren't trinkets. lol And the real level cap was 80 not 300.
The very last thing was Horde aren't your friends. (In the other server you could party with Horde, guild with them and so on)
I remember back in pre-TBC WoW when I first started playing, I rolled a Warrior and from level 1 to level 60 I geared and leveled up without knowing that things such as Dungeons and Raids even existed. Oh, and didn't do quests either, since I wasn't familiar with them.
All I knew how to do was to kill mobs and that was it. I was always lost, not knowing which zone to go to so I could be able to level up further.
Even though all I did was farm mobs for decades to reach level 60, that still remains one of my best and most nostalgic experiences of playing WoW.
True story me and few of my friends were on Ventrilo at the time My first time playing I level from 1-80 back on LK with out seeing my trainer or using any skill points so I was like how in the hell are you doing all this damage while i can't do **** he look at my char and he laughed his *** off he like you ****ing noob you forgot to use talent points and my response was WTF were talent points and he Couldn't stop laughing I felt so clueless then I saw him jump on his mount i was WTF where u get that mount (I don't remember if it was alliance or horde at time) he was crying his *** off he like how in the hell did u get to 80 then im like U HELP ME!
What comes to mind:
During vanilla wow i levelled a gnome mage as my first character, had friends who had started playing before me, so naturally i bugged them with all of my questions about the game. When i finally made it to Ironforge, and was being told how to go to Stormwind by the deeprun tram, I was around level 13.
When i got there i noticed that there were two tracks, ofcourse I asked what the other track was leading if the first went to SW. My friend didnt really know but he thought it went to Gnomeregan but said you couldnt travel there for some reason, so get on the closest tram.
So I took that for granted......
Until 4-5 years later during Wrath of the lich king on retail when a friend jumped on the tram farthest from the entrance and I asked him if that didnt go to gnomeregan... :o
i dress my pala up as a stormwind guard as identical as possible and stand guard by the trade district entrance. i also hand out blessings to passerbys which was hilarious because they got confused and stopped midway for a few seconds before realizing where that came from :D
