Kinda agree on this.Gets annoying when out of nowhere someone interferes.Like today...I respawned in hyjal graveyard and got attacked by 1 alliance guy, after taking him down to 40% hp another guy jumped on me.But heres the part that i always love.2v1 situation and they still get their *** whopped.
I think it's cowardly to avoid PVP. I have a strict "if you're red you're dead" policy. People who condone 1v1 fights are a blight on the PVP community. Maybe games like hello kitty narrow fights down to 1v1. But this is WoW and I feel every chance a player gets, they needs to attack anything red. Regardless how imbalanced the fight is. If you want a controlled PVP environment you have duels, arena and bg. Open world PVP should be "anything goes".
If you have something better to do then I can understand avoiding confrontation. Avoiding confrontation because it's "too easy" or "not fair" makes me feel you need to carry around a white flag with you.
I actualy agree on this. This is why vanilla was awesome. No cross-realms.Both sides hated eachother 24/7 and would attack anything that was from diffrent faction,no matter what the situation was...2v1,3v1,6v1,ect,ect...Thats where the real pvp was at.
Also,lets not forget this...

That was just in poor taste, his online friends obviously couldnt make it to his RL funeral, no reason to be a dick about it and honestly just disrespectful, now i hope your not comparing that to some ****ty *** 1v1 **** in TB or while leveling >.>
I'd only interfere if I see a better geared player killing a lower geared player or if the person is my friend.
I've had 2 really low geared players trying to kill me once (80k HP each). It was funny.
reminds me of when I was undergeared on sargeras got jumped by 4 undergeared players 2 warriors a lock and a rogue ;o was funny to see them all run after I killed them one by one..
There is something called duel if you want 1v1, in the open world anyone can jump you at any time.
words of wisdom
theres 1 thing ive learned by playing wow, if youre on a pvp server and especially if youre in a pvp zone (like tol barad) there is no such thing as HONOR among players
there are high gear peeps that attack lowbies and farm them for no reason, just to feed their ego, or ppl ganking others yet again for no reason
i personally only interfere when a high gear dude is attacking a lowbie, regardless of skill, if i win, i get to camp him for picking on lowbies, if he wins well then gg
I remember hanging around in Tol Barad doing quests for that impatience of youth trinket, Any red name i see i kill it, everywhere i go i kill any alliance i see, then the next 10 min there's a hunting raid of 10 man with all ppl that i killed hunted me down. with 10 of em on me i managed to kill 1 before dying hehehe.
I understand that some people really don't like this because molten has no PvE realms, so they're forced to accept these things.
Its called war untill someone ganks you, then you cry like a whittle baby. I know a lot of people like you.
Also, its not PvP *only* realm, there is pve also, if you want PvP only I suggest you move to warsong.
P.S. I almost never interfere in a 1 on 1. I wait for the fight to be over and /applaud the winner. If however he then attacks me or his friends try to help him I will interfere. :D
I don't generally attack people, but when I see an ally under attack by an enemy and he did not start the fight (or I don't know who did), I will assist. If he started the fight, he should be prepared to end it as well.
Honestly, if you are attacking somebody that didn't do anything to you, you can't expect his allies to "have honor" and not assist him. Jumping on some unprepared guy was exactly what you did, should accept the same happening to you.

How can you know me when you've never even met me in game? I believe I saw you a few times judging by the screenshots that I've seen you post, it was a hunter I believe and I dindn't kill you if that's what you're thinking.
I never ganked people around Tol Barad on purpose, we did sometimes clear an area if horde got the entire island occupied so that we can quest but that's about it, I usually used to quest around with friends, badges were my primary consern.
We sadly often ran into people that were there just to provoke others. We kill them, they wisp us "omfg donor nub l2p" (even tho I'm a pve tank lol), than they call their friends and start challening us, we kill them again and they give up or call more people. Since it's a small realm it's easy to keep track of names so they don't forget such things, you eventually run into them again the next day and they chase you to the end of the world because you interfered with their "lowbie killing campaign", they were mostly guild mates from PvP guilds, I'm not gonna name who but I remember a lot of these people. I could make a 1920x1080 picture of all the insults that I've got from the screenshots.

You misunderstood, Sargeras is a "PvP" realm, you cannot turn off "marked for PvP" so that people cannot attack you at contested teritories if you choose so. "PvE" retail like are realms like others that allow yout select weather you want to be marked for PvP or not. Molten doesn't have any PvE realms. Warsong is a PvP tournament realm which only features BG/Arenas and maybe some world PvP with provided level and gear.
Think of it as war, anything goes, that's the beauty imo of world pvp. Flasks, buffs and what not and of course the sudden factor that could totally change a fight in yours or your opponents favour. If I attack someone in world PvP I pay attention to my surroundings, it just gives that extra thrill imo, Will I interrupt a fight when I see an alliance has attacked a horde? No, but I will help an alliance who's in a fight against a horde as I have no way of knowing who started the fight.
