Juridically, I suppose Zimmerman would be innocent, if he really did kill the guy in self-defense.

However, it's also possible that he went after him and attacked first, or somehow provoked him to attack him. Regardless, I see it as a really stupid thing to do, which is almost like looking for an excuse to kill someone in self-defense.

The state never had evidence to refute a claim of self defense but because of the media editing evidence to make it look like a racially motivated shooting, this lead to a lot of public outcries and pressure from black rights leaders, even President Obama spoke on the issue, they had to charge him.

I'm guessing he had none of those at his disposal?

Also, neighbor watches are not as equipped as a police officer. Most of them are volunteers too.

So he did the right thing as a neighbor watch.

But the things escalated, Martin went out of control and attacked George who was not prepared and did not expect violence. The first thing he did was grab his gun and shot. Once! Not twice. Just once. Chances are he was more scared than Martin.

I'm still claiming that George was "innocent".

The testimony from Rachel Jeantel and a timeline of 911 calls supports that for 4 minutes, Trayvon was far away from Zimmerman. Rachel testified that trayvon said he was, "by his dad's house".

We don't who started the fight but we know that Trayvon doubled back to confront him.

I don't agree with how he's been released, as Grace said he could've done many other things and should never have had to be in the situation where he has to shoot him. He's a member of neighborhood watch, he should've contacted the authorities then left it at that.

Muricaa. But yeah I too think he's innocent, although the situation could've been avoided if he didn't make a stupid *** decision. Meh.

I'm not sure i like Florida's stand-your-ground law though.
