Same here. School for 8 years, usually start at 7-8 years old,
Many types of high schools. From math to arts to languages and music. You go for 4 years.
At the 12th year (after you finish high school) you take the baccalaureate.
If you pass it, you may go to a university (many types of universities) and if you fail it, well you're basically screwed (better find a ****ty job).

Here we have courses for everything and we can choose from them freely. The only limiting factor is that some courses may be set in the same time, and you can't do both, unless you study for it alone.

Our math teacher had been forced into coma due to some disease last spring. He told my underclassmen that he occasionally woke up from the coma in a feverish state, and thought that he had been kidnapped by some religious people. Then he fell back into the coma. Poor man.

He lost 16 kilos over his coma treatment.

Apparently the disease was some high fever thing. He had to be put in a coma to prevent it from screwing him up.

I'm glad that we have our math teacher back, he's too great.
