WF and Weapons - WoTLK

Hi ppl i would like to know if the internal cooldown of Windfury Weapon do really NOT exists...

All guides about enhancement shaman says to use WF + WF instead of WF + FT, and to use a slow weapon (2.70+) but i don't understand if the internal cooldown doesn't exists why don't use the fastest weapon possible meaning more WF procs, so more DPS ?!


Please I'm assuming that the WF it's still bugged at the WoTLK servers... is that right ? this bug still persists ?

Main/Offhand have their own 3 second cooldown, its not shared. that's the bug.
So, when you imbue both weapons with WF, you can get 2 WF proccs in 3 seconds.

Main/Offhand have their own 3 second cooldown, its not shared. that's the bug.

thats not the only bug.
Wf procs from offhand do as much dmg as a main hand procs.
Wf offhand procs should do much less dmg...

Windfury Procs ("Imbue the Shaman's weapon with wind. Each hit has a 20% chance of dealing additional damage equal to two extra attacks with 1250 extra attack power.") have an ICD of 3 Seconds.

Even if you imbue both weapons with it, it should have the chance to proc one time in 3 seconds = both weapons should share the same Windfury ICD.

On Molten, this ICD is not shared between both weapons. It can proc on Mainhand & Offhand within 3 seconds.

Yeah i have the same doubt, so this 3 sec cd refeer to weapon swing speed (like 2.60 or 2.70) ?

Wrong! Its shared. Only difference is that when it proc from off hand it deal main hand damage. Why its better to use on both hand is faster procs. For example internal CD is 3 sec but that doesnt mean it will proc after 3 sec. If u put it on both weapons u increase chance for proc meaning it will proc every 3 sec almost always. But internal cooldown is fine.

I guess it's not shared too, coz i do get 2 WF procs within 3 secs almost all the time too...

U get 2 hits in one windfury proc like it says in tooltip . But attack dummy for 2 mins and check ammount of windfury hits. U will see that it wont be more than 40 procs

It's a bit confusing.

According to timer addon (WFCDT) fastest proc was 2.59 seconds. Of course the connection could have affected the timing.

Anyway, how do I "read" recount when it shows me the amount of Windfury Attacks?
Let's say I had 3 Windfury Attacks (in Recount), does it mean I had 3 Windfury Procs?
... because in 2 minutes I had 60 Windfury Attacks according to Recount. Image below.

Windfury proc shows as 2 windfury hits on recount since your screenshot show 60 means it procced 30 times. 30 times in 1 min 59 sec if time is correct means it procced arround every 4 seconds.

Thank you, you were right then. WF ICD is shared, correct and retail-like.
I have been tricked by the Windfury-Animation then all the time, ... its shown a lot more than the actual Windfury-Proc.

We shaman must know what enchants to use because flame enchant is broken too!

From my observation Flametongue Weapon is working correct. What you think is broken there?
