We seem to be free to do whatever we want.

The amount of people that suffer every day on this planet. Is large enough for me to know that I wouldn't even want to be accepted by God(s). I wouldn't want to live in their "paradise", I wouldn't want to see or meet their angels, I'd rather go to hell than die and meet a being that has all the power, but does nothing.
If he made our paths. Were the paths of children in Africa also made? The paths of them dying by the age of 5? A child that barely knows whats wrong and right. A child that only wants to wake up to some food and water.
But instead that child wakes up to thirst, hunger, war, disease, death and fear. There's a reason why many people say that God has left Africa. There is no sign of any God there.
For the most part, Africa is a lost cause. So you can somewhat understand why God left Africa, but you would think an all powerful and all knowing being could do something about it.
Yes, there are charities helping a tiny portion of these children but that's because we're donating money. The people that work every day and have extra money to give out. We, as in people, are the ones trying to help. But even that has proven to cause more harm than good.
Also, please don't think I'm writing this in some type of angry tone lol. I don't mean to offend anyone. c:
Also consider this: what if God has actually abandoned us? What do we do? We just sit here, and call something as lousy as writing things on paper "work". We think we're civilized, staring at monitors over 10 hours a day. Technology takes away our diligence, our spirit. We put our "well earned" money in charity and expect it to do something, but we don't take any risk ourselves, nor do we sincerely care, and then we dare consider ourselves virtuous.
One's own demise is one's own doing.
The only help God offers is guidance. If we don't follow that guidance, we're the ones ruining our lives, or someone elses life. If God helps someone out, he has to help everyone out, and that kind of ruins the point of this world, the way I see it.
Children can't help themselves, or see God's guidance. Adults can. Adults are responsible for the children they encounter. If an adult causes the death of a child and feels no remorse, they're living just about as much as the dead kid.
Now you sound more like a hippy motivational speaker than anything.
I am not God, so I can't say.
Gab has some good points.
"The only help God offers is guidance. If we don't follow that guidance, we're the ones ruining our lives, or someone elses life. If God helps someone out, he has to help everyone out, and that kind of ruins the point of this world, the way I see it."
@Lawl It's easy to blame God for not doing anything at all. But, why does God have to do anything for us? It was humanity itself that has come to be this way, not because of God. Humans have their own mind and decisions. That's what makes us, us.
If God always stepped in and prevented all the horrors that man kind have done to each other, would we be where we are at today? Most likely not.
"Children can't help themselves, or see God's guidance. Adults can. Adults are responsible for the children they encounter. If an adult causes the death of a child and feels no remorse, they're living just about as much as the dead kid."
Well that last sentence probably means that person is a Psychopath. Also, this part seems like a touchy subject on religion. I don't feel like going into that, though.
I'd say they are able to help a tiny portion because most of the donated money gets pocketed away.
I have logged in for the first time in over 3 weeks and what I see is a healthy argument on religion. I like it.
Some people feel no remorse at all if it's to fill their pockets with money, and they're still not sociopaths or psychopaths.
It's a sad world where we live in.
Hi
Welcome back. I missed you, alot.
I don't have much time to write this out so it might be sloppy D:
Of course there are people that truly think that liking a picture on Facebook has actually helped someone and donating 5 cents to a Mcdonalds charity will get a child the medical attention they might need.
But is doing that better than nothing? Evertos did make a good point. Many charities do take a good portion of the money for themselves. Some lie and say that it goes towards the "cost" of running the charity but there are many charities that don't ask for any type of currency. Some charities only ask for materials such as clothes.
But we can talk about charities later =P. But if God did abandon us, wouldn't that just mean Satan would completely take over? Some say he won't physically kill you but instead he uses emotions such as anger and greed to overpower someone and that "someone" will go out and harm others.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just going by what some of my die hard Catholic and Christian friends have told me lol. But if God represents love and he truly does love us, would he abandon us? What if people were raised with different beliefs. Would he stop loving those people and simply abandon them?
Personally if I love someone I'll do everything I can to help them. I'll jump in front of a missile if it meant that they had the tiniest bit of chance of surviving. And I'm sure many or most of you would go to great measures to help someone you truly care about. Even if it meant giving up your own life.
Especially if it is your child. Someone that you have created, like God has "created" us. This is what gets me. If he created us, and he loves us. Why won't he guide us when we need his guidance the most? There are people suffering and all they need is "guidance" so they won't die. But where is it? Many people across the world pray and wake up every morning trying to better themselves but there is no help. Or is it too much for an all powerful and all knowing being?
I personally think when someone is desperate, they can easily guide themselves. I think if someone truly wants something, such as their dream job for example. They'll work for it and get it. They'll guide themselves and a lot of it will be trial and error. But they'll eventually make it to their dream job if they truly work for it.
Life is what YOU make it. If you don't try and put no work in. You'll have nothing and life will just spit in your face. We might be looking at monitors all day but we still have opportunities that a couple billion people don't have. And I'm sure most of you don't plan on sitting at home for the rest of your life, wasting away.
Maybe God isn't loving at all and he truly doesn't care about us. If that was what people preached I think we'd be better off. Less people would rely on such faith and do whatever they can to become a better person. I've noticed a lot of people do kind things in the name of religion or God, but not because it's the right thing to do.
But on the same note, many people would probably commit suicide because that faith is the only reason they wake up in the morning. But that's what we're here for. If you see someone fall you don't just look at them, you help them. You help them get back up and continue on. And that same person may help you when you fall, and you will fall. We all have our dark moments in life and I doubt any of us could get through it without the help of someone.
If you say you have live the worst part of your life and got through it by yourself. Then that wasn't the worst and I hope you're prepared for the **** storm that WILL happen. Over the years I've noticed that people need each other. Non of us would of survived if it wasn't for someone giving us shelter and food. We depend on each other and this "guidance" won't come from God. It'll come from someone else.
Anyways I might edit this later, don't really have time to read it over :'|. Sorry if something doesn't make sense or what not, just point it out and I'll try to clarify when I come back. :]
Anyone thought that maybe, just maybe God does not feel emotions, and that they are specific only to mortal, limited beings of this plane of existence?
I'm %100 sure that he's feeling the DESIRE.
