Which side would be a better choice for a primarily PvE person?
Which side has more raiding guilds and/or PuGs?

Go alliance. The PuG on Horde is horrid. You'll have a hard time just getting into Rdf.
For Raiding guilds Horde has Myrmidons as the best PvE guild on Sargeras, and 1 more guild I forgot the name QQ but they're pretty known.
Alliance has Care, Pinnacle, Cocaine CowG..boys (havnt seen them around these days but then I might just be too busy to get on at same time).

Both sides have their beneficial guilds.
Alliance from what I have seen in progression are:
Care, Profit, Pinnacle, and Cocaine Cowboys.
Horde has:
Myrmidons, Endoderm, Sanctified Wrath, and Intent.
Those are the only guilds I can recall seeing or hearing about since my stay on Sargeras.
Cocaine Cowboys have a lot of drama starters, as well as ignorant racist Americans but they are not all bad people. Hope this helps.

Please, you serious about it? I can agree about Myrmidons cause they're the best at the moment, but not about the rest. The other good guild i'd reccomend is No Excuse.
And getting back to the topic i think horde is more pve while alliance is pvp. But i have to agree that pug in horde is terrible. Mostly *****s that are either ninjas or leave in the middle of rdf/raid, while being able to say only "NOOB" at others or "PLEASE GOLD FOR REPAIR". It's hard to get decent people, especially for farms ;/

I'm going to start more heavily focusing on reading the Guild Recruitment forums. Was ignoring horde ones but it's not a bad option to look at. Plus, I'd love to be a troll again.

what if i told u that theres a preety hardcore pve guild on alliance that few people heard about, which has cleared all the pve content so far among the first guilds when its been released
the kind of guild that doesnt need to advertise on global or lfg or the forum 24/7 in order to fill its groups, and the kind of guild where if youre recruited youre treated like a family member rather than a "nobody cares about you" player
if youre good you dont need to make yourself notorious, notoriety and respect will come along with your actions
this being said...dont listen to the people above, take your decision logically
ally is the better pve faction, and yea i know that horde has some good pve guilds but do you really think they're gonna take a random just because you wanted to go horde?
getting recruited into one of those "hardcore" guilds isnt gonna be a piece of cake, and if youre not hardcore on your class you cant even begin to think about joining one, im not even gonna start about joining one of the main raiding cores
while with ally its a bit different, guilds are more permisive in their recruitment methods...even tho some of the ally guilds mentioned above have completely ******ed recruiting systems
and its more likely youre gonna find good ppl to rdf with on ally
