I play hpali nd I have seen full pvp blood dk take very little damage compared to pve tanks of equal ilvl. I prefer having dk tanks above all else
Since I main a DK, know every ina n out of his mechanics it's purely down to DKs being OP bull****, end of story.
my alt DK, in her ****ty gear just jumped into RDF in crafted gear, 330 ilvl and was fine.
But thats really not the point, people need to start getting pve gear, it's not hard. Last update Molten were giving us top teir gear for JP. All for what? a day JP farming SFK? for full (cept shold/helm) PvE Gear.
I met a fully geared ret paladin who insisted on using Templars with 1 Holy Power... His top DPS was his Seal DOT... /facepalm.
You really got a trauma with that didn't you e.e
And yes, people is stupid, and yes people barely know this game is more than "LOLOOLOLOLLL FACESLAM KEYBERD" Do not, by any reason, simply join pug groups or pretend to reach sucess near to them... They are too stupid for their own good and the amount of frustration it generates to be paired with the lower bottom of the gen pool is not worth playing with - They won't only bring down your chances to be geared but also to have fun in this game. Want a hint? Join a half decent guild, buy crafted gear, do some Bgs and premade RDF
Every RDF Group asks fpr +360, even 370+ people to do JP farms, simply because their extremly low performance and null knowledge and skill requires them to vastly outgear content in order to have a chance, you will find many 370ilvl hunters doing <10k Dps, and many more full Ruthless paladins unable to interrupt a spell or heal a nearby ally.
Simply pick the people you want to play with, if you're not stupid, you will eventually find people that also aren't stupid, just telling you right now you're going to need a lot of patience and put away a lot of people.
Totally agree with you. I remember when 4.3.4 hit Sargeras, and Zul Gurub had just been launched. People were asking for 360+ ilvl, so I had to just queue and hope to get lucky, since I was 353 at the time. Anyways, I queued, got a group with a 360+ group that was a DPS down, and they couldn't down a single boss. A couple of days later when I queued again, I got a group where I was as ilvl 353 the best geared player. We downed the first boss we tried (Zanzil I think) after2 wipes, one at 1 per cent. We proceed to also kill Venoxis, Blood Lord Mandokir and whoever the last boss of the instance was, although he provided quite a challenge.
Then you get yelled at by some moron feral tank about being a frost DK in Cataclysm, wielding a 2 hander. The same feral tank gets totally pissed of when I pull 14k DPS on the first trash pack, and decides from then on to rather go all out DPS than to actually keep aggro. Then he lambasts me about his 16 k DPS on the final boss and my meager 8k DPS, totally overlooking the fact that I was in Blood Presence desperately popping up AMS and throwing Death Strikes while trying to keep the adds from killing the healer.
The only thing this game needs is brains. Just today I took part in a FL 25 man pug, having no prior experience of the bosses except for Shannox, which I had previously wiped on with an ilvl something under 300 healer in the party (didn't expect that, they had downed bosses before Shannox!). Anyway, to my surprise we were to down Shannox on heroic. The raid boss just explained the tactics, and after two wipes (one the raid leaders fault through tactical error, the other because half of us was going by normal tactics), we downed Shannox HC, because someone figured out that we could. Anyways, things went to hell after that when someone accused the raid leader of being a ninja, after which he DCd for a moment confirming it to other members of the raid as being so (I couldn't care less, I just pugged Shannox HC at ilvl 363! My first ever FL boss kill!) and the raid went to hell.
My point, instead of asking for ilvl people should ask for raidcall and a 5 min IQ test. After that, pugging Halfus Wyrmbreaker with 3k latency is possible (believe me, I've done it. DPS sucked tough =D).
