fire nova question - enhance wotlk

why fire nova is in the bottom of the priority list of an enhance pve dps? cuz i noticed (thru recount) that it has a better or way higher damage as compared to SS and LL. is it all because of its mana efficiency?

Yes, using fire nova at every CD is too mana intensive at low - mid gear. SS applies a debuff so you need to use it more often than nova. Plus, SS adds maelstrom stacks. LL procs your relic so it is also an important skill, although I noticed that sometimes I use Fire Nova more than Lava Lash lol.

Lightning Bolt > Stormstrike (only if target has no debuff) > Fire Nova > Stormstrike > Flame Shock (only if target has no debuff) > Earth Shock > Lava Lash

I agree with WorganFreeman. Fire nova goes up the priority list if you spec for improved fire nova and you have mid - high gear. Smart use of shamanistic rage also fills up your mana which can last until you can use shamanistic rage again.

What about in moving fights though? For example: Marrow's bonestorm, PP's 3rd phase, etc. You just put up Magma Totem every time the boss moves to another location for fire nova spamming?

Another concern is BPC. You can't use magma totem + fire nova if some dark orbs are within range when you are targetting Keleseth. Do you use Searing Totem instead of Magma Totem so that it will only single target Keleseth?

maybe better reserve the elementals during an intensive movement boss fights but i will still go for magma if adds spawn
