You can allways move global to a new tab or if you don't find it usefull you can just leave it.;)

I don't find Sargeras that talkative, that social, some spamm and trash talk from now and then but in general the major of players I encountered are not that talkative, I have made some friends but most people I join raids or dungeons with are just total strangers and stay that way after we done with our businesses. And although I like Cata better I do find Ragnaros people much more talkative and fun to be honest...

Spam invite leveling guilds tend the be the most social from my experience, simply because of the massive number of people
