If you take an enhancement shaman and put him against any other class with the same gear level, do enhancement shamans stand a fair fighting chance? Especially against paladins and priests and such. Are enhancement shamans actually good in 1v1 and 2v2? Was just thinking of making one.:D Ty for checkin this out
cata: yes. they are good against paladins and so so against spriest. but in overall they are a great spec. with the proper knowledge and some good bindings you should do great in 1v1 and good in 2v2.
wotlk: not really. they arent so good like in cata but they are better against priests. however they arent so great against paladins. they are one of the weakest spec and the hardest one to master. they do okey in 1v1 and ok in 2v2 and good in 3v3 (beastcleave). i dont reccomend this spec in wotlk if u are totally new.
even bad eles cant beat a good enhans, its just a very strong counter.
I don't get that "logic".
But whatever, on topic:
Enhancer shaman has a good chance to win against almost every class. If both play very well, the list should be like this: xx% = chance of the enhancer to win
vs rogue, enhancer wins 95%
vs priest, enhancer wins 95%
vs eleshaman, enhancer is supposed to win (roots don't have DR!) 85%
vs destro lock, enhancer wins 80%
vs mage, enhancer wins if there is a pillar 90% if there isnt: 50%
vs affli lock, enhancer has a good chance to win 70%
vs ret, enhancer has a good chance to win (excluding sov dip oneshot) 65%
vs moonkin, tie- if moonkin doesn't oom 51%
vs feral druid, tie- noone will ever be able to kill the other one 50%
vs DK, dk has a very good chance to win 30%
vs warrior, warrior wins most probably 25%
vs hunter: if there is a pillar, shaman will win for sure (100%- dot + run away) if there isn't, the hunter has a good chance to win
All these percentages are discussable, this is my personal opinion after playing enhancer for a long time.
When it comes to arena, of course beastcleave is a good comp to play, both 3v3 and 2v2.
But it's always fun to try out something new like enhancer+ret or enhancer+mage (if you know how to do it) or enhancer rogue.
They're decent against bad players. When you get 2200+ they won't stand a chance. Never go with a healer in 2s as enhance. Bm hunt / Dk would be optimal.
How can dk beat a enhance shami?
If u use ur maelstrom stacks to heal up the dk should never be able to kill u.
I havent played enhance for some time but as far i remember duels against UH dks were always quite long because of self healing but in the end i always beat them.
Not sure about frost dks but they should also be easy to beat.
I also dont agree here.
Their high dodge chance and stun locks make them one of the hardest enemy.
They can only be beaten when u time ur cooldowns very well.
If u use Spirit Walk on bladestorm and kite the warrior in his death range(where he cant hit u nor charge u) then u should have a high chance to beat him.

There is no way you are ever going to heal through a DK, that knows how to play. The thing is: noone here knows that so yeah you can beat them easily.

I was talking about good enhancer shamans btw, cleansing + earthbind + ghostwolf to kite away, he will never reach you again, 30% dmg reduciton on dance, trinket on blind as long as no wolves are up to prevent restealth, immediately let your wolves shout on vanish etc. + hit him from behind since you are faster than he is (slow enchant on offhand!)

yes you can for sure rangekite a warrior with the standard latency of about 200.
