lol.. this isn't a show-off thread.. i posted the bg from one i had just completed less than 20 min. prior. it was on the topic of showing taking the long route to gearing isn't 100% necessary. and even though hunters have an edge in bg's when it comes to doing dmg and scoring kills [us rogues only have an edge @ survival, and killing blows if we're scared lil b***hes as most bg rogues, and pick out the dying ppl then fade back into the shadows.. i totally wrote shower by accident first lol].. but nonetheless, nice bg stats :) i do however recommend more assaulting/defending on ur part though :D

did u see my wep? n the fact that i'm low geared everywhere else as well? lol.. i won't kill another player during a sap, and they gotta be low gear or bad for me to kill them while maintaining a good cc chain on the other [so far, i've only pulled it off a few times, i might actually be over exaggerating and it may in fact be only twice, i don't recall. and i do agree we're one of the best choices for being ungeared when it comes to survival. but i'd say a lock, spriest to an extent, mage, hunter would be better choices over all so long as u understand to avoid direct combat, and save ur defensive cd's for the rogue that's bound to try n gank ur low geared self :P any CC class can be more than beneficial in a bg if played by a person who utilizes simple strategy. despite me being deathless, high kills, high dmg, and a flag defense in that screenshot, i actually spent most of that match protecting people. several times i'd see our healer getting ganked with no one assisting him/her directly, meaning they were gunna die, and others were gunna die too since the healer had to focus more on themselves. pop a mouseover blind on one, dismantle on another, gouge on another, get 5 cp on a dying horde, redirect kidney someone, then popped shadow dance and ran around cheap shotting every person that wasn't cc'd individually, or re-cc'n those that came out of my previous cc. i don't need ruthless to save ur ***.. just hit rating :)

yea.. i hate majority of the day. horde often times have 1-2 premades goin, and even when not, i swear i never find any under 100k hp unbuffed.. however multiple times yesterday i had games where there was only like 2-3 people over 100k hp on ally :P about 9pm or so eastern time, both sides looked evenly matched and i was able to pull off a few back to back bg wins, even an av win :) but i must disagree on one thing.. it's actually most people, not just lowbies, that don't know their class :D and imma cry when gurth is working as intended in arena :( lol.. well, until legendary daggers are available :D

what's wrong with playing blood dk in pvp? ur all just making bandwagon statements. they have **** for mobility, and get creamed by casters n such. people call them nub cuz what they counter, is fairly obvious. yet u never see any in top teams. they are not op at all, they are in fact pretty gimped. they seem overpowered in bg's cuz everyone ignores them to kill their squishier teammates which makes it seem like they're living forever. open your eyes and you'll be able to look outside the stigma attached to them.

A good player will make the best of what they have. Most players on Molten; in bg focus so much on kills that they forget what the bg is about. A naked player can cc and stop an enemy from capturing a point in ab and AV. I naked player can slow down an efc. If you're not a good or smart player it won't matter what gear you have. Players with limited scope of play are what loses games. I'd take a naked player who ignores everyone but the flag capper. BG is a good place for subpar players to shine. Take away those low hp enemy and those players are not very good. They have 1 strategy and do it over and over. Do something to mess up their strategy and they will not be able to adapt.
To answer your question: No you don't need to focus on gear. Gear is only a byproduct of time played. You can wear Michael Jordan's shoes; but it doesn't mean you can dunk.

so, tons of cc, getting high kills, high dmg, low deaths, following bg objectives, all while being undergeared.. makes me a nuisance? if i'm outperforming full ruthless people in a bg, while also doing objectives for the win [cuz after all, i need that honor lol], sounds more to me that the geared nubs are the nuisance lol.

Back in 4.0.6 i was full vicious resil gem 2h frost. Went up against an AH geared rogue with the vicious dags. Even though they were duels which meant nothing, he tunneled me down within 1 cc chain.... I couldnt get the guy to 80%. He was a truely skilled rogue though.
Only one example of class+skill without gear. In bgs if you have class + skill, youd faceroll in crafted gear. Or skill+gear, or gear+class. Or all 3.

Yes.. because wogs without CDs make dueling so easy and because it proves a point to show you're oh so skilled in catas most easiest class. ( I would know I play both holy and ret which I think is the most easiest class that i ever played with. )

Which still proves my point: 2 out of the 3, class and slight skill.
Not all players with dins back then was successfully facerolling. Still takes a bit of skill to play op class :c despite all the jokes we make abt them.
