I love shooters and CoD is okay, but I much prefer faster paced FPS games. Unreal Tournament is and will always be my favorite. It's not an easy one to play either.
I guess you could say I like it fast and hard.

I was a HUGE Halo player, but since Halo died off I had to change to COD for the online play.. Offline however, Gears of War nails it.

i used to play cod but have come to hate it. it involves 0 team communication . if you are skilled you can carry everyone , i think games like bf are much better and more fun to play :D halo is dead? o.o havent played since halo3 D:

Gears of War uses the Unreal engine. Unreal is a lot like Gears of War in many ways, especially Unreal Tournament 3. The game still looks pretty good for being 7 years old.
I like Halo as well, but I've never had much opportunity to play it. Though I did get an Xbox360 and Halo4/Tomb Raider for Christmas. Shame I can't play FPS games online anymore though. 700ms latency satellite internet is a *****.
