Call of Water Bug?

Hey all,

Been on Molten for a while now, just decided to roll a Troll Shammy about a week ago. Everything was peachy until the final part of the Call of Water quest line, where you go to Silver Pine Forest and consume the sapta. When I arrived at the shrine I found not only a conglomeration of lvl19 corrupted water elementals, but one massive elite elemental of "skull" level, hostile and ready to kill my poor Troll. Perhaps the weirdest part of the whole thing was that I could see them all without having consumed the sapta.

Does anyone have any clue what's going on, or how I can get my water totem? I wanted to try rolling a new kind of healer, since I have a druid and a priest on the Ally side. It'd be a shame if I had to get rid of my Troll.

I was having the exact same problem you were last night, every time I got just a little too close, the elite elemental killed me until I quit after spending roughly 2 hours on the quest line only to get angry thinking I would have to delete my shaman. However, I decided to look at the forum and see what they had to say, when I read your post I was, no offense, glad it wasn't just me. So I logged back on, revived my character, and saw that if you stand facing the shaman shrine, and look towards very back on your left, you will see three water elementals, one minor manifestation of water, and behind it a corrupt manifestation of water, kill the corrupt manifestation of water and you will get the bracers you need to burn in the Brazier that is directly across from where the minor manifestation of water is standing, the only problem is the brazier is in close enough range of the elite for him to aggro, so what I did is I went into ghost wolf form, ran towards the brazier, turned in the quest as quickly as possible and picked up the next part and ran like hell into a crack in the mountain behind the elementals. I now have me water totem, and hope that my experience will help you get yours, and neither of us had to delete our troll shamans :)
