1. Restoration Shaman Guide 4.3.4

WARNING: Healing becomes boring and you'll end up being enhancement.

    Talents

    Talents and Glyphs

Now let's go over some of this talents:

Resurgence: This talent is actually pretty amazing, while you have your water shield up (WHICH SHOULD BE 24/7) your casted direct heal crits will give you mana back, yes sir you heard right you heal while you get mana. Now why is this awesome? Well on a lucky chain heal or in a crit healing wave you'll end up with more mana that u even started with, which makes this 2 heals pretty darn good.

Ancestral Awakening: Because nothing makes healing more boring that procs that automatically heal lowest hp person.

Mana Tide Totem: Good or bad depending on your gearing will get to it later.

Telluric Currents: OMG YES THIS IS ****ING AWESOME! This talent will give you mana back when you cast Lightning Bolt depending on the damage dealt. So basically there is no dead time as a resto shaman, whenever you feel like everyone is doing fine it's time to join the DPS group and start bolting! Not only you'll contribute with some amazing 1-3k dps, but also you'll be full mana in no time, talk about OP!

Spirit Link Totem: This mf now heals more that tranquility! Thanks Molten <3 Basically what it does is every pulse it balances out the hitpoints from everyone in the group, not really a heal per-se but it allows you to do easy balanced AoE heals when everyone is kinda low without anyone really dying while you heal another person.

Tidal Waves: Now this is why you riptide almost off cooldown, this beauty will let you cast super fast Direct Heals after you used Riptide!

Blessing of the Eternals: Now when your targets are low in health your Earthliving has an even higher chance of proccing (But let's face it you are a badass healer they won't get low)

Riptide: Holy grail of shammy heals instant heal + heal over time + gives you mana back with 2 piece T12 + empowers chain heal + gives you Tidal Waves, need I say more?

    Stat Priority

Now for stats things are pretty Basic there are 2 schools:

    Intellect > Haste 916* > Mastery > Spirit > Crit > Haste

    Intellect > Haste 2005* > Mastery > Crit > Haste > Spirit

*Haste Breakpoints for goblins or other things can be checked out in my other topic with a google doc.

Now the haste breakpoints for non goblins without dark intent and with Wrath totem up are 916 for an extra Riptide and Earthliving tick and 2005 for the next Riptide tick.

The first stat priority can be used to low geared shamans since you have little mana you can't risk to reforge out all your spirit, but once you get enough gear your Lightning Bolts will hit stronger and give you more mana and your heals will be stronger and you'll need less of them being thus able to reforge out all your spirit into other useful stats without going oom in fights.

For gemming and enchanting this same stat priority is used. I won't link every gem and enchant you can get for this you are big boys.

    Set Bonuses:

T12 2p: Your awesome Riptide now gives you some mana back on tick! Great!
T12 4p: Your Chain Heal doesn't remove the Riptide from the main target enabling you to spam chain heal on 1 Riptide.

T13 2p: (BUGGED ATM) Any Earth Totem will proc it 25% less cost on heals.
T13 4p: Personal Bloodlust when you use Spiritwalker's Grace.

    Strategy

Things that should be needless to say:

1- Earth Shield on tanks 24/7
2- Water Shield on you 24/7
3- Earthliving on your weapon 24/7
4- Stoneskin Totem / Flametongue Totem / Healing Stream Totem / Wrath of Air totem up almost 24/7 (When not using Mana Tide / Spirit Link)

Now that being said what heals exactly should we use in fights?

Riptide is a must you want this baby ticking on the tank all day and if needed in more targets, it will heal strongly over time and empower your chain heals and give you Tidal Waves.

    Direct heals:

Now this always starts with a Riptide on the target unless Nature's Swiftness heal is necessary due to imminent death after this if target still needs some heals it's time to choose between Greater Healing Wave and Healing Wave. Now if the target is over 60% choose Healing Wave, not only riptide will end up ticking for the remaining health he needs, but also this heal might give you enough mana back to make it free of cost and the cast is faster than greater heal as well. Also since you have it glyphed you get an extra heal and all of this might proc Earthliving on both you and the target and Ancestral Awakening too. If target is under 60% or it's the tank taking a burst you might want to use Greater Healing Wave though be warned this eats your mana pool.

    AoE heals:

Wait, doesn't my totem heal everyone while I fap? Yes, yes it does, but sometimes it's not enough. For light AoE heals you might want to riptide someone and use a chain heal on him, if stronger AoE heals are needed you can add a healing rain which also helps to make people stack because they see a blue circle on the ground, but remember, the more people in the healing rain the less it heals so don't think you'll heal 25 people for a ****ton if they stand in it. For burst AoE heals you can use the help of spirit link + Healing Rain + riptide Chain Heal and you can spam chain heal if you have 4 set T12 in one riptide without it getting removed.

    When to use certain stuff:

Mana Tide Totem: You might think you want to use this when you are really low on mana: No you don't. You use it when you are under 70-60% mana but the fight is chill so you are not healing your arse off because it will remove temporarily your healing stream totem. Also a good moment is when you are spamming Lightning Bolts to further get full mana. No need to save this cooldown all the fight.

Spirit Link Totem: When you need to balance people's health or you need to do some massive AoE healing.

Spiritwalker's Grace: When you need to move somewhere but it would be good to continue healing.

Nature's Swiftness: When you need to heal someone really fast after ress or tank getting raped etc. You can use it for an extra chain heal in AoE as well.

    Tips and stuff

Always have food/flask/Mythical Mana Potions around, you never know when you will need them (also you can spam the potion for multiple uses fast in one fight)

Check your totems and shields do not let them drop don't be bad

Whenever you get a split second to spare throw a Lightning Bolt, once it becomes a habit you'll have 100% mana all day, you can also make focus boss macros to use it without loosing your target

On fights like Hagara/Zonozz/Yor Saj etc, use Lightning Bolt when it will do more damage to get even more mana from it. On Yor while Oozes move to boss he basically does nothing = spam time.

On fights with AoE like the Beth one the shields go off pretty fast you might want to ignore earth one and spam water one.

HR doesnt appear to have a DR curve and is healing everyone in the raid group the same ammount (ish) between 25 players... Its like a constant Druid Tranquility.

Non donored, 4 piece T12 HC all epic 50 int gems and Jc 67 int gems and tailor int cloak enchant. Just look for Bloodcarrier in armory. (I might be PvP or Enhance now and then when you inspect) How would you oom when a Lightening Bolt gives you 5k mana? Ragnaros doesn't need that much heal if people do their ****ing job right. Hardest point to heal is after the first transition heal everyone up full for first seed phase that's almost intant.
