I get a joke when I see it, but saying "this is a rude thing to say about yourself" is not funny in any way. Or maybe it's a different definition of joke. Maybe you guise mean joke = not seriously said, but for me joke = funny, you get what I mean? I've seen people using the first definition before.

Things that kids say on some forum shouldn't really upset you. Afterall, all that matters is your own opinion or real life opinions. Just saying...you can rise above the nuisance.
