Simple there is no much obligation when taking care of cat.

I don't care how much my pets eat. As long as they're healthy, I'm happy lol. And I actually have a small dog too. She has a lot more character than any cat I have ever seen and she would never run away.

For two reasons.

I trained her and she wouldn't DARE to run off without my permission. And...she is getting older and she is lazier. She prefers to stay inside now and when she does go outside. She just lays out in the grass and takes in the sun.

But I do want a bigger dog though. And don't get me wrong. I will pets and loves and squeeze and loves and pets and cuddles a little dog. But I prefer bigger dogs. Plus, if someone ever tried to hurt me or my family. My cat wouldn't give a flying **** lol. But my dog, as little as she is, would do everything she can to protect us.

My dad's back to drinking...It's been alot of time and he's going back to getting drunk every day...It's the 3rd day in a row he's drunk...

Because he's addicted, and he's not going to stop until he wants to, or he's destroyed so much in his life that he's forced to. My mother's an alcoholic, she's now brain damaged in a nursing home, and she put herself there, after totally destroying my life and the lives of our family. Take it from me, and listen to what I'm about to tell you before he destroys himself and you along with him. Get out, now. Get away from him. He'll drag all of you down with him, and nothing you do is gonna stop him.

Addiction changes people, regardless of what good memories you have of him, alcohol will damage his brain until he's a totally different person, someone who will do anything to maintain the lies he tells himself so he can keep drinking. The only way he's gonna stop once and for all is to hit rock bottom. Rock bottom means when he's so completely destroyed everything in his life that he finally realizes losing everything isn't worth continuing to poison himself every day. You leaving will help him reach that point. You need to cut your losses and run. Put yourself in a position where he can't destroy you, and stay there.

[to an extent] we can all love but that doesn't seem right. i do not want to get into detail because i am just a newby here but i have battled addiction before.. from alch to EX and would rather not get into it because i have seen the trolls.. i pooped my pants today lol doesnt seem very pointless to me my but im ok BUT i did drink a CRAP load of Peopto to get rid of my hang over:D

People CAN change, but that change is NOT the norm, nor should it be imposed on the family to try and force that change or even deal with that process for the sake of that chance. If people are going to break addiction before it destroys them and those around them, they need professional help. The family of an addict is not qualified to handle that sort of serious neurological disorder and it can in fact severely impact them if they try. If the person who is addicted is continuously going back to their addiction, then that's on them. An addict has no right to destroy their family for the sake of their addiction, and to impose their problems on their family is going to do nothing but destroy everyone involved. What they need is professional help from someone who's qualified to treat this kind of ailment.
