Hey guys, was wondering will hitting the hit cap prevent white attacks from missing?
at 17% I still miss like crazy (5-15% on white attacks). Quite often I get double misses on both weapons, and on a rare chance, quad misses, no joke ( on my parrot it shows MISS x 4). My dps drops by up to 1000 when this happens :P
It literally destroys my rotation, when ever I miss, my attacks just stop.
I've heard that offhand attacks have a chance to miss but my main hand misses as much as my offhand even at 17% hit (20% spell hit)
Yeah merlin, I macro'd all my spells to auto attack since I made the shaman, It's not exactly that my character just stops, it's just when I miss with my main/offhand, he'll drag the weapon slowly across enemy and not do any other attack in the time frame (1 second of downtime)
Character animation and actual attacking are different things. Swing timer starts right after previous hit/miss or whatever, it doesn't matter how slow your character moves axe, next attack will still go off after swing timer ends. And 1 sec downtime with 2.6 speed weapons is something special?
I'm using 14 spell hit %, that is soft cap, there are misses and they are supposed to be there. It is balancing mechanic.

Yes this is known as the "miss animation", no it does not stop or slow down your attacks in anyway, if you have scrolling combat text on you can see that for yourself.
