The characters were wiped... so the IDs to the original character would not match with what the database has, moreover there are people who lost their original names etc (so again IDs wouldn't match). The only thing they can do is to link information to what the account has on hand with their history and from there it is an automated process.

And they should do this i hope they'll do this process then.
But then again if they are thinking ahead and wanted to release this Legendary Items in the future like what they did now they should put some note on each of the account that this account has "Death Knight and Paladin Before" or this account has the "Hunter / Mage Before" so we would know and create the same classes then.
This is one of the major problem now that molten have been encountered, especially those donator accounts that were away for like 2 years or more and they just get back playing.

The process of the current system IS using account history... Which is why you can only purchase the Shadowmourne on the the specific account that carries the history, if it doesn't exist on your account it will simply be invalid.
As for writing X account needs Y it is kinda moot at this point since all characters were wiped in the first place. They don't know the character itself just the history of the purchase so they can't help in that regard either, only that you purchased the Axe for (insert toon name here).

Could someone please respond to this question?
Will only rank ONE titles be returned? What about the other titles, such as rank 2, 3 etc...
Gladiator, Duelist, Rival, Challenger? Would all of those seasons that people spent time playing been gone to a waste?

It will be soon up in the market after coin reset for sure but not now.

Even I, who doesn't give a stinky sock for that ordinary two-handed axe, read forums for about 2 days and understood everything that was about to happen to this very point of time and all unofficially and officially stated by Staff.
So in that case - it's all YOUR FAULT you didn't save your "virtual money" (coins) for the arrival of the LEGENDARY Shadowsock, hell - 2 days ago I still had COINS LEFT just in case something " interesting" happens.
Sorry for the probably "rude" tone but all I'm trying to say is - you had your chance without an obstacle in your way and you blew it by being impatient and unwise by not exploring and searching for information given around these forums to your advantage.
