1. I think that must be like 0,1% of the servers population (if not less).
Excluding countries like Venezuela (and some Asian countries) where possessing dollars (or any other foreign currency for that matter) is illegal. Most south-american countries have a very high level of inflation, they can pay for retail WoW, but it's so expensive that it's really not worthy.

And yes, Warmane's south-american population is more than '0.1%'

    - Ofc, this is not what the thread is about.

Can you back this up with proof? Also, 0,1% - 0,5% of the population. On a sidenote: How would people from said countries know about WoW if it wasn't for retail? A lot of questions can be asked I don't think you have the answers.

Edit: We're also talking about the vast majority. WoW is so known world wide I believe every country has the opportunity to play it.

  3. I'm pretty sure the 'excessive' amount of south-american guilds in all the realms (and the somewhat stable activity of the Spanish localized forum - where most posts are made by S. Americans -) is enough proof of the population. I'm not saying they represent 25% of the server population but you can bet it's above the 0.x%.

Knowing about WoW doesn't mean they have ever played retail.

  4. Most people play on a private server for one or both of these reasons:
1.) They don't want/do not have the money to spent on retail.
2.) They want to play a older expansion (Retail doesn't support Classic, burninc crusade, wotlk, cate or MoP).

So no I strongly disagree with the statement that most people play to gear up easy. If you want easy gear either pay the prise or EARN IT.

    >Pay the prise is not going to happen
    > Earn full equip on 8 different toons takes like 5 months if not more.

I think we should ask the question: how many donated on ArenaTournament realm? This question alone overlapses the argument where they don't want to pay money to play the game, also, it's a one time payment, not once every month / every third month.

Maybe if you where smart and bought Vip on Arena tourny you would have Cata Elite gear but I guess your qqing about not gearing

And who said 8 different toons take 5 months to get full cata gear on lol cap resets twice a week you can cap your characters twice a week unless your that awful at arena you can do bg's.

Sersly if you don't like it just quit this is how the server is this is how its staying Blizz-Like there is an alternative if you want to acquire gear by real money the price is fixed and will never change and has always been and will stay like this.

    1. Doesnt take 5 months
    2. even if it did, so what?

  8. Maybe if you where smart and bought Vip on Arena tourny you would have Cata Elite gear
The thing is I did -hence why I'm complaining about this server. I don't see how you posters disagree with me it would be great for everyone to have a chance of gearing every toon to its fullest.

Everyone has a chance to gear. you are just lazy and want to buy the gear for cheap.

  10. " Private servers are for people who want to play the game without paying for it. "

    W-What the...?
    H-How...?

I play this private server because it has a cataclysm realm and retail doesn't. I could care less if this place cost money to play.

Private servers are for people who want to play the game without paying for it. If you just don't want you earn your gear and hop into the game (especially on a server that's instant max level and gives you free items already) you're just lazy. Adjusting their donation system for a lazy portion of the population won't help them out. You want a full set of gear? Donate for it. You want just a piece or a weapon? Donate for that piece.

Why spend $50 on 16 pieces of gear? That's basically saying "Here molten, i'll give you enough for about a weapon and a piece of gear, but i'll be taking full Cataclysmic set because that's how it should be."

    Yea, good luck with that.

    Warcraft: Orcs and Humans
    Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness
Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal
    Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
    Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

Bookstores that sell the novels and as I'm ashamed to say this, DoTa, because apparently due to the similar icons used in skills on both WoW and WC3, they think WC3 is dota the MMO, hence, "help mi hero disappear how recovert accnt pls hilp".

Well, DotA was born from WC3.
