I am a hunter 510 ilvl i know my rotation, and still im doing so low dmg since the last update... they nerfed the mastery so hard and kill commands deals like 100-150k dmg, and before the update it was dealing like 300-400k :/

today i tested for myself all 3 specs each 3 times and 5+ mins. Since i had full honor gear and pvp hit/exp cap i had to use 85lvl dummy. If someone interested here is results:
MM 109k
BM 104k
SV 96k

Try reforging all into crit. Stat priority: Hit+Exp Cap (broken or not im not sure) > Agility > Crit > Haste > Mastery
^ For PVE and PVP. (excluding pvp power)
PVE TESTING
514 BM hunter here. I tested Mastery vs crit and found the resultes to be: (EXCLUDING BURSTS) Test time: 10 minutes
(Keep in mind, I only refogred gear. most of my gear is Crit/mastery based)
Mastery > crit > haste = 99k dps sustained @ dummy (Burst for 115k)
Crit > Mastery > haste = 108k dps sustained @ dummy (Burst for 130k)
Crit > Haste > Mastery = 115k-120k dps sustained @ dummy (Burst for 160k)
I plan to pick up some gear int he next few weeks and prioritize gear with crit and haste, excluding mastery wherever possible and I'll be happy to post results here.

i'm a 504ilvl BM with 24.89% crit 34% mastery without any buff.
let me tell u something...u better forget kill command for pvp...it's not even worth40focus in pve! with30% crit which 5% my pet give me in 10kill command more than half is non crit...in pvp it's like 8-10k!!! in pve 56k!!!! it seems even crit chance is broken along with damage...even if it crit it's like 15k in pvp and 115k in pve1 i suggest u remove the kill command from ur action bar and keep using arcane shot...trust me 2arcane shot is way way better than a stupid kill command! it doesnt even work from 25yard! lolten fked up kill command so bad that they dont even know how to fix it!
anyway , i'm still a Bm even if i have to not use kill command! :)
anyone dont believe me and want to see for him/herself can wisper me in game my IGn in Arragorrn in ally.

Did you used Hunters Mark when testing BM? Because KC is not aplying Hunters Mark anymore, is bugged. And MM auto apply it. It should make a huge difference.

Your dps will be a lot lower without kill command in PvE. Thats horrible advice. XD My kill commands hit for a lot more than 56k, and crit for 150k-200k in a NON raid setting, more in raid settings.

My hunter's mark was being applied fine, but if you wanna do it yourself then go for it. Waste of a global cooldown isnt it?

Yeah, because 6 sec CD instant cast range spell that hits 400k on this iLvl is perfectly fine.
You people need to stop crying about BM cause it's not even supposed to be top hunter dps spec. SV is and SV is for some reason broken and last of the three. You had your roll and now they are finally fixing it and you all think it's end of the world because you can't pull 200k dps in Tyrannical gear.
Next we gonna see warriors outrage because their bladestorm can't kill 40 man raid.

After checking the retail rankings for this patch I totally agree with the fact that BM was overpowered. Survival is supposed to be the best PVE hunter spec in this patch. I just hope they'll finally work on it now with all those BM tweaks.

i dont know what u r talking about...400k? u joking right?! well lolten listened to ppl's lies like u and fked up BMs as it is now!
even with buff stack in raid in pve it never hit more than 150-160k crit! non crit is 80k!
and about pvp...20-25k crit! 11-12k non crit! ilvl506! u call that being fixed?! i dont know if u played cata or not...KC was way better ..with 150k hp in cata...now with 450k HP it's like this...put ur hatred aside toward hunters for a moment and think rationally!

If you love survival pve go cata. I've never seen a class come to the botton to the top on molten. Live with it, BMs gona be top dps. We still the best after nef and we have tons of bugs too.

ok so.. first i must say.. fk all u hunters, i hate u lol. however, i like to help.
i was doing arena the other day, and my capping partner [a huntard], was doing very low damage. at first i thought he just sucked really really bad [which actually turned out to be true, but his low damage wasn't the result of that, just his poor cc was]. i dueled him, and his damage was in fact lower than it should be. so i had him remove all his gear, exit the game, delete the contents of his cache folder, and log back in. when he came back, his damage was back upto par [wish his cc skills were this easy to fix :D]. so maybe try it, it might help, might not, but won't hurt either way :P

Read the post I quoted first. Don't just respond to something you didn't even read.
I've seen BMs and what they did in BGs before (that was when gear was tyrannical). They would just stand back and send pet. Pet would maul me in 3 seconds. If you think that's how they are supposed to work then maybe you should get some common sense. And that wasn't with some huge CD bursting, it was constant throughout whole BGs. Now BMs are just mad cause they have to use more than 2 buttons to play. As a survival I bust my a** trying to keep good rotation in BGs in heat of battle, and even with 47% PvP power i have huge problems damaging a proper healer.
And KC still hits at least 50k in BGs. I regularly check my logs how much they hit me. 50k is a lot for non-crit 6 sec CD spell.
As for this, refer to the OP's post where he's crying how he can't hit 400k with KC. You had your run, you got nerfed now suck it up and live with it. Some classes are still broken so much that they are unplayable. BM at this point should be put aside and not touched even with stick.
Going Cata to have playable SV spec is solution? Yeah, that's smart. Maybe we should all go wotlk to have playable... everything?
