don't hordies know basic BG mechanics?

So I've been wondering if most of the horde PUG loses are because ppl don't understand the basic mechanics of the game.

I'm only talking about PUGs here.

At WSG very few ppl know they have to get the flag and kill efc
At EOTS they either race to get all bases or fight at one base and race for the flag
AB is quite self explanatory, so idk about not understanding the mechanics but hardly ever ppl stay to defend

and with the new BGs, lol

At the temple, well... they have no clue that dominating the middle is the key to get points and
At twin peaks, well I think there is a visual bug, coz I personally can't see the flag on the map, so it's mindless pvping everywhere.

Where as when I play ally PUGs, most ppl actually know the basics of each, and they seem to communicate more during the BG.

Again, I'm just talking about random PUGs. Or maybe I am just luckier with my ally pugs.

I think you are just luckier. Btw getting all bases on EOTS is the safest strat. When they stop and go for flag they usually lose all bases.

Why does everyone always blame a faction? It's no different than blaming other political parties. Both factions have good and bad members. Alliance is just as terrible as Horde and vice versa.

yeah, I agree with you. the best strat for eots is getting all the bases. I guess I should have clarified what I meant is that they run from base to base and dont stand to defend.

and also, you may be right about me getting lucky.

I don't play ally so much, so I have little data. but boy I am lucky coz I got a full tyr dude with very little effort

I'm from horde, and I haven't lost a bg from a long time. Maybe cause I just roll with my guildies. :)
We usually have a 5/5 premade with 2 healers.

like i said many times, this is about PUGs... you know what that is, right?

Of course PuGs don't understand a lot, but I think that more serious problem right now is alliance. To put it bluntly, they suck. Plenty afk, plenty people aimlesly running around avoiding fights (running to edges of map, sometimes close to capture point (eots)), lots is undergeared. This has been problem last week or so. They just get steamrolled. Good example is yesterday, I enter WSG, we charge midle and there's 3 alliance coming to meet us. Rest just stayed afk a base or ran away with no intention to actually participate in BG. Needles to say they got gy farmed immidiately and BG was over within minutes. It's just no challenge. And that's like 90% of alliance groups atm. Rest is a really good premade usually.

I would say it really depends on the time and day. When I first started gearing up, I struggled with damage but was an asset to the team since I distracted enemies and tried to get flags than dps. It's mainly about playing smart, which is hard for most people - defending base/flag rather than chasing after an enemy whose 24% hp. So yes low geared players make a difference (lost many games with 8 fresh 450 or lower geared) , but they can still be useful.

I've come to test a PUG group by the first major battle; if we obliterate them then keep fighting to win. If lose, then afk and wait for the next game. Fighting a losing game doesn't matter much since you only get 65-75 honor for all your work and still 65-75 honor with no work + shorter game.
