Money From Auction House Never Successful! 3.3.5 Deathwing
Hello,
= I would like to preface this with the fact that I am not a forum user so I apologize if this is not in the correct area or is not formatted correctly. =
I have been playing on the server for approximately a month, throughout that time I have been using the Auction House to sell mats like everybody else, however about 1/4 or 1/3 of the total auctions I create in this time I never actually receive the money for them! I am aware of how the "Auction Pending" and "Auction Successful" responses work and this is me RECEIVING "Auction Pending" but never receiving "Auction Successful" with the enclosed amount before the server restarts and the "Auction Pending" messages are cleared from my mail and never have proof or hear of said auctions I did not get paid for again! The same thing happened to me yesterday and this time I finally decided to take screen shots to prove that this happened because it is quite frustrating to be giving materials away without being compensated when I could have just given to guildmates or used myself! This has been a recurring problem and I MUST have lost over 20k to this at the very least.

+The next day when I logged on after the server restart this was my mail box.

The mail about auction pending is not replaced with auction successful mail with gold. Instead you get separate mail with gold and auction pending mail also stays there. Could that be what causes the confusion? Other than that everything seems to work find about AH mails on wotlk.

I am aware that it is a seperate piece of mail. I am not receiving the second piece of mail so I don't understand how you are saying it seems to work... I am quite sure I did not receive ANY of the money for the 9 auctions listed above and it is about 36 hours after the estimated delivery time.
It has always worked fine til now so I assumed it still should. And til now I have seen no complaints about it on wotlk except when someone gets confused because gold comes in separate mail. I am not tracking amount of the cheap items I sell but I never had problems like that with more expensive items, which could be thousands of items by now. Of course it is possible that something might be broken suddenly but this is the first complaint I see about it on wotlk.
The auction house has been broken for months. I have experienced this same exact problem and as a result have lost at least 12-14k gold because pending transactions never turned into successful transactions. Its extremely frustrating and i hope it gets fixed some day soon.
This has been buggy for years now, but for some reason, the staff refuses to admit that it is buggy...be careful, my husband got forum banned for making a thread about this exact subject.
I'd like to chime in here...I am extremely frustrated right now. I had over 3 pages of pending sales last night before I logged off. They have been pending for about 3 hours before I had to log off. Mostly Mageweave Cloth and low level greens. It was over 10k worth of gold. I logged back in this morning and all pending mails were gone, yet I only had 4 successful auction mails with gold in them waiting for me - I received just about 1k gold from them.
I farmed an entire day yesterday. I am new to the game and 10k are a HUGE deal for me. I even tried to wait for the successful auction mails last night as I thought they were supposed to take ONE hour but just had to log after they didn't come even after 3 hours. I was sure that this morning, after about 10 hours of waiting they surely must be there, waiting for me...What is going on here?!
yes. same problem. Iam still leveling and have no gold, I sold some herbs for 100g but do not receive the money after more than one hour. maybe it will come, i hope so but im not happy
edit: it had work now. i got that money. only seems taking a while..

Going by that, a bunch of people in this thread should be banned, no? No one gets banned for "making a thread about this subject." Now, if your husband "made a thread about this subject" in a way that breaks the Forum rules, that's what got him banned, so don't lie.
That aside, bugs go exclusively in the Bug Tracker. Using the Forums to ask other players if something is bugged and/or if they know a solution is fine. Complaining about them in the Forums isn't. It's pointless when the only place Developers and QA check for information about found bugs is the Tracker.

Nope, he was banned because they said he was making up rumors, this was quite a long time ago though, might have even been before Hermes took over.

I'm still a bit skeptical. I was a Moderator before Hermes took over and can't see someone getting banned simply for making a thread. Now, if the content of the thread was offensive, accusing with theories, complaining repeatedly about the issue or about it being dismissed in the Bug Tracker (assuming it was, and the correct way to deal with such is to PM an Administrator, not use the Forums as a soap box), repeated in different places or after it was answered, etc... yes, I could see it earning him a temporary ban.
