How much has the server improved since moltdown on WOTLK and MoP. Is the combat bug still around?

Retail and large private servers have experienced population loss this spring in general, but from experience it's seasonal for private servers. The population drop has impacted us as well, however Sargeras's case is tied to people preferring to play on Frostwolf, hence the merge ideas are floating around and we're considering. Seeing tendency and statistics, the reason we hadn't considered merging them last month was because we didn't want to have high queues on Frostwolf. Keeping an eye and mind open on it. Overall, working pulling 3 expansions at the same time :)
