On an unrelated note, does someone live in a small town/village? I love how government places arent super strict about rules and regulations when you live in a small community.

I live in a 10k population town, and the council here are so by the book it hurts :(
They even go through your recyling bin to make sure there isnt any wrong plastics and if there is they refuse to take your entire fortnights garbage.

the closest town(1k population) i live to allows you to have farm animals for $5 each. I don't know how strict they really are for regulations as I live 10 miles away, but I work for the town government and we spend the first hour of everyday just sitting in the office talking before we do any work. The village which is like 2 miles away doesn't give a **** what you do from what it seems, but only 100 people live there. They have a store/gas station, restaurant, barber shop/animal feed store and a wood yard, which the people that own the gas station own.
