    Why is PvE Gear even in the Game?

    I just wanted to try and bring to light my biggest contention with the server, which is PvE gear, specifically main set/offset pieces. They literally do nothing but dumb the game down. Trinkets should be kept (but made class specific i.e Bone-link) but the rest should go. I just can't seem to justify why they are kept.

    Thoughts?

    Ret in double dps comp or in 3's with no 2-piece...? No ty. Also for some classes losing some resil to gain hit/exp with a secondary stat works out better i.e rogues. Some weapon proc's can make them a better choice than PvP weapons, especially if the class is already tanky and won't miss a couple hundred resil.

    ^you must be a terrible ret when you cant beat any1 without 2piece considering ret damage is beyond brokenly bugged atm.But i do however agree that in cata all pve gear should be removed its just too stupid compared to wrath gear (aka trinkets/weapons doing damage for you)

    You sound like a kid who got beat too many times to PvE gear...but I shall explain my reasons then :3 Did I say I can't beat anyone without it? No. Did I mention beating anyone at all? No. What I did say was Ret's need that 2Piece in Double DPS comps, why? Well as you are obviously not smart enough to know, we provide a more 'supportive' role if we lack a healer in comps and ALWAYS in 5's even if there is a healer or two. We are required to keep our partner(s) alive, how? WoG. Now if we don't have our 2Piece we can't get off an emergency WoG within quick notice, especially if I'm in the middle of bursting and thus focused on Inquis and TV. Got that? Great! Now another reason, our only HoPo generator w/o 2P is a melee attack, soo if we end up with a mage/lock/hunter or anyone that can keep distance from us then we may aswell leave. We won't get any HoPo to deal enough damage or to heal us through their trainwreck of a burst...especially Mages and Hunters. Ret 101 in a few lines, feel privileged :)

    note: I am not the best or anywhere near the best ret in PvP around, I'd say i'm...good. Make a few mistakes but generally I win 90% of my arena matches...so yeah^.^

    Edit: Ret damage is not beyond brokenly bugged. Our censure is seriously ****ed I will give you that, but compared to other **** *cough* ignite we are actually quite tame. Let's just say our Censure damage makes up for our bugged to the ground HoW damage, okay? Okay!

    You can keep set pieces and offsets, but please for the love of PvP, get RID of these weapons/trinkets from arenas entirely. Anyone who disagrees is either someone who already relies on PvE procs to land kills, or they have never been one-shot by these mindless PvE mongos. No amount of defensive play is enough to survive.
