I want to level a hunter, what's the best/easiest spec
I main a destruction warlock on Deathwing and Frostwolf, and I'm thinking of levelling a 5.4 hunter with heirlooms. My question is, for endgame, what's the best hunter spec? I like the look of marksmanship, because it looks similar to destro, however with no prior experience I don't know if it's the best spec to learn.
Both Marksman and Beast Mastery are viable specs for end game. BM is a simpler spec in terms of gameplay, but MM is the only spec that you can use to compete for the highest rating.
Survival is sadly pretty much useless in PvP, but is the best for PvE.

Dont listen to this. Both specs are the same in dificulty, and on both you can reach the same arena rating. This guy dont know whats hes talking about.

Please do not talk about things you clearly have no idea about.
I've played this class since Vanilla. The fact is BM is not a viable spec for aiming high in arenas. It never has been, and it never will be. Silencing shot is essentially a must have when playing 3s competitively.
As for difficulty, I find MM harder to play due to steady shot management, aimed shot timing. With that said, hunters are laughably easy in MoP, and any new player can faceroll using the 5 abilities that we now require. Gone are the days of LK where cd management mattered, or Cata where aspect swapping was an art.

^This in a nutshell, though when SoO came around I found Bm was doing more than Surv (on Single Target fights) but it probably just might be that I was a better Bm than Surv

Steady shot management? Are you playing wow or rail road tycoon? even if it needed some "management" would be the same with cobra shot on bm. And you need to time your aimed shot? Really? Dude if you think that is harder than bm i feel sorry for you, you must play with one hand only or maybe you are missing some fingers.
Ppl use to say bm was not for high rate on catta too. Then fiveburn came and reached 2.2 with bm. Is not for everyone but just because u cant dont say is impossible.

I can honestly agree with this. It doesn't matter what spec you are playing, it's really how much skill and practice you have put into the spec. If you are a great BM, and you like it the most, then practice, learn, and you can make as high a rating as you like. It may be true that MM is more likely to do well, but it doesn't mean you can't do //anything// rating wise with BM. It's just more difficult because it's not as great.

Open your spellbook, and under the Marksmanship passives, check what Steady Focus and Master Marksman do.
Try your best to understand them, and then read my reply, some brain power is needed, but not much, so I'm sure you can handle it.
Maybe then you'll understand what a noob you look like.
Anyways, like I said OP, if you want to be competing at the top of the ladders, MM is your only option. That isn't to say that BM is not a viable spec, it can do well in 2v2 and BGs, but...
a) it is useless in 3v3 (with I guess beastcleave being only somewhat viable comp, if you can call it that), and
b) it won't take you over 2.2k, and honestly, you can faceroll as MM and get 2.2k anyways, so its not saying much.

So waiting a big warning comes into your screen and tell you that aimed shot is ready and you click it requires management and timing? LoL

If you're this braindead and use aimed shot on it's first proc, then you really are beyond hope.
Keep playing BM, if you can't understand simple mechanics even after I point them out, then MM really will be too hard for you. Kind of hilarious, since it was so dumbed down in MoP to begin with...
I never did understand why, when we point out with facts that no-one can go high rating with BM, all the BM players show up and tell us how great a spec it is.
It was meant to be a simple spec, so everyone could play a hunter in BG. MM outshines it in every way, and has done so consistently since vanilla. I don't understand why you have to get so personal over it. Otherwise, I would be more than happy to see some of you BM players show off your gladiators, since I'm sure you all have it, right?

Even if you dont use as soon as it procs dude, is just some skill consuming stacks. This is nothig new in wow, nothing complex. You just cant admit you said bull**** trying to make MM look harder.
Tell us how is the secret to use this master marksman talent, if you can of course. If you cant you just gona call me noob and try to look smart.
