It's also good for checking picture content from Reddit in an easy-to-find format (ish). The result is half of the day being wasted before you realize it's gone.

Man, old people ca be such ****s sometimes. This old ***** and her whole family came down for a few weeks. I check them in, blah blah blah everything is going great. Old ***** walks into the office and tells me the fridge in the room isn't closing. So, I go check it out and I opened it and closed it. And she got super pissy and was like, "no no no, it doesn't close" and she opens the fridge door, slams it shut and the door doesn't close. So I show her that if she closed it like a normal person and not slam the **** out of it, it'll stay shut.

So she gets super pissy and tells me that I have a piss poor attitude. So I look at her family, to see if this is some joke and the family is just watching TV as if it's normal. So she threatens to leave the motel (we would lose about $2000 dollars if they left, which would be worth it because she's a *****) unless if she gets a pretty crazy discount or if she gets a brand new fridge. So I politely tell her that I'm not allowed to give discounts and I'm not able to get a new fridge. So she becomes hysterical and goes on this tirade about how she's never had a good experience with us (even though she's been coming back for +15 years) and she'll just go down the road and find a better place.

Jokes on her because we're one of the cheapest and the nicest MOtel on the beach. And I ****ing mean this because we actually try to keep this place as nice as we can (the owners are pretty much my second family). The place that is a few blocks from us doesn't even have electricity and they apparently have a big rat infestation (beaches have a lot of rats). I never wanted to ****ing suplex a ***** in her 70s until now and my god, if I could. I can only dream.

Old people are usually the rudest and the most needy. Young people (around my age) are the messiest and middle age people vary. Women complain A LOT more than men. Men usually just want a bed and they don't necessarily care if it's a mattress that was pissed on by every person who has come across it. But men usually just want the room they booked which sometimes they don't get when they come in due to problems or due to people that are handicapped and need a room that is the most accessible.

I recommend that everyone should try to work in customer service (if you haven't) just so you can learn to not be a dick in your old age. Or just don't be a dick, especially to people that don't have the power to fix your problem.

Thank you. If you want a room from December to May, you're out of luck because we're already fully booked. And if you're looking for a room during the summer, you better be +21 and you better look non trashy or I'll discriminate the hell out of you and tell you we're fully booked even though we have 28 rooms available.

Seriously though. I probably saved this place A LOT of money by telling trashy people to gtfo. I have a lot of stories of all sorts of people stealing and breaking ****. Getting into fist fights with other guests and we even had a drug bust here. And it's crazy to think about that because I grew up on this beach and I never thought **** got crazy here. Nothing but wealthy old people live here and it's pretty quiet for the most part. But I guess beach bars will do what they do to people.

Yeah, now I have nothing but patience when I go out to eat for example. IF someone ****s up, I truly don't care and I don't get angry lol. Mistakes happen and most people usually get embarrassed when they make a mistake so that's punishment enough I guess. And I understand the limits people have and what I can ask of them. I have people always asking if I could get them a new mattress because the one they have is too soft or too firm. I have people asking if I could switch out their flat screen TV with a bigger one. I always wonder if these people have ever stayed in a high-end resort and have asked for **** like that.

I recently had a lady demand a hair dryer. She told me that I promised her a hair dryer and that I need to go out and buy her one. Which I could. I have the motels debit card but this ***** is trippin if she finna think that I'm going to buy her a hair dryer. Even if it's 2 dollars, she can eat a dick.

I worked in McDonalds for 3 years, there is nothing worse than being looked down on by everyone.
They forget they are paying me measly wage for their crappy burger they choose to eat, but they would rather look down at me for working because I have to and it funded my survival.

I remember the day I seemingly burnt someone after they purchased a coffee, they said the lid wasn't on right and she made such a scene, and seemingly it was my fault for not putting the lid on her coffee correctly, but security cameras showed her taking the lid off her coffee to add sugar and then fail to put the lid right on herself. Well, I have nothing else to do in this cold *** office.

Every 4th of July we have these two Hispanic families visit. Both families have been coming back for about 25 years or so and they're, for the most part, nice people. But one of the families has a bad past. Every year, this family gets into a huge fight over the same thing that happened years ago. There are four sisters, who are adults and who are mothers. Two of the sisters get into a fist fight every year.

Watching two adult Hispanic women fight is kind of unsettling (they're kind of big). They don't care that they're sisters. They just ****ing go at it and they're vicious. Last year was the worst because the other family had to call the police and an ambulance for BOTH sisters. Both sisters had to go to the hospital for stitches and bruises on their faces.

The story behind all of this fighting is that one sister ruined the other sisters wedding that happened years ago. The fighting always starts the same way. They both get along great for the first few hours and they start drinking. Then subtle accusations are thrown around. Such as, "I wish I could redo my wedding. I think if you were a little calmer we could have talked about it. But it's okay, the past is the past." I don't actually know what happened at this wedding. All I know is that the fight starts because of this incident.

So usually after a few drinks, they'll get louder and they'll start to disagree on everything and it just snowballs from there. It'll keep going until you hear the line, "**** THIS PLACE AND **** THIS FAMILY, I'M NOT COMING BACK NEXT YEAR...I SWEAR TO ****ING GOD." It is always those exact words. And the other sister is very religious and she'll get even more furious and say something along the lines of, "DON'T USE GODS NAME IN VAIN." And this is where they'll get into each others face and the men just kind of stand around lol.

When the fists start flying, the men will finally break them apart and the men, obviously, defend their wife. The men never get into a fist fight from what I've seen so far, but they'll talk **** about each others wife and they'll threaten each other. And it's ****ing weird because everyone gets along for the first few hours. As if the family is perfect.

But last year was the worst. The police and ambulance were called. I was called and so was my brother. So we get to the motel and we see two ambulances and like 6 police cars. The police tell us what happened and they show us where the fight started. The fight happened right outside of the office and there is just blood every where and there are a few towels that were drenched in blood. I honestly thought that they both went for the kill and just started stabbing each other.

And the only reason we let them come back is because the grandfather is incredibly nice and we can't say no to this guy. He promised us that one of the sisters will actually be staying at another motel (she's finally not coming back) and there will be 0 problems. The only reason last year was really bad was because he actually had to leave the same day that everyone checked in. And the whole family respects this man and no one ****ing dares to disrespect him or embarrass him.

And there's more **** going on in the family that I don't really know about. The grandfather that comes down will always give us a list of rooms and where to place everyone. It's not only the sisters that get into fights so the grandfather has to make sure everyone has their space. And it's actually sad because he always comes in a day or two before the family and he's always very excited for the family reunion. And it always just blows up in his face.

The past 5 years have been fun. I'll be sure to strap a go-pro to my chest this year and see if anyone starts throwing hands.
