Screen freezes but game continues

So as the title says my game screen freezes very often but i still hear the sounds, able you skills. The only thing that helps is a restart. What ideas what could cause this issue, or how to fix it ?

Yes. Reinstall a clean copy of windows. Do it fast b4 they'll start telling you its the add-ons.

Oh i forgot to mention, i reinstalled windows, downloaded fresh copy of wow.

all my drivers are up to date.

That happened to me, it sucked. It only happened when playing in windowed mode. Try to create a macro with

/console gxRestart

In it and set it to some keybind.

No. It happened to me on a laptop with an nVidia card. You can try to change the gxApi but I'm not sure if that would help.

/console gxApi OpenGL
/console gxRestart

If it does not help or makes the game crash, you can just revert it

/console gxApi D3D9
/console gxRestart
