Whispering fanged Skull vs Death's Choice in MM PVP
I'm thinking which trinket to go for. I am really not sure. In MM pvp.
* 288 passive AP bonus is nice, against 3% passive crit, hunter's have load of crit anyway, almost 50% or more.
* Same time, the proc is much better, giving almost 500 extra AP.
* Not sure about the inner cd.
I hope someone who has put a lot of thought to it, can help me out. : ) Thanks.
Crit is considered a proc, since it gives a CHANCE for your shot to be critical. AP is something that's static and will ALWAYS contribute to your shots.
+ the proc from DC is increase in AGI, which also gives AP with CRIT.
You should always prefer things from which you benefit 100%, rather than on chance.
I know crit is RNG but Hunter's revolve around crit. Still I think you made a very good point. Thank you for that. Too bad you were the only one who wanted to help.
Love to see u Guys Rooting for a DEATH'S CHOICE
I don't know why some people rage when they see a Death's choice on a hunter, and keep telling us Deaths choice is not for hunter,Hunter player knows that DC aint BiS but 450agi procs gives a hell of an extra Dps
ye i am using skull. yet its really depending on your personal choice. dps wise they are nearly identical. the procc from skull is a bit stronger than the one from dc. dc has the better passive bonus (only by few dps). i chose skull since i dont really rely on proccs BUT prefer the good consistent crit bonus it gives me. there is a reason i always swap the target when i see an enemy hunter putting his roar of sacrifice on my target. no crit, no pressure. guess they procc equally well so ye, just preference :P most hunters use deaths choice. death choice would be better when u are playing with a pala thats buffing u with kings in pvp. then the agility procc scales a lot better than the ap procc.

With that logic you would take +5 AP over +10000 crit. Crit is not considered a proc and it really seems like you shouldn't be giving other people advice.
Tests and stuff like that are tests, you can do 100000 shots on the dummy and it will give you 50-60% crit, but PVP is different. You can be unlucky and get 5-6 shots non-crit in a row, which can be gamechanging, so yeah, if there's a chance of something happening then it is a proc, maybe not a proc a person like you understand but it really is.
Btw, to enlighten you, young student, proc = Programmed Random Occurrence, notice the random in it.
EDIT: Also, making a conclusion that my logic is like 5AP > 10000crit makes me wonder if you should be giving any advice not only to players, but to any human being.
