I see a report on bug tracker and i want to clarify a few thing for people that get the mount

When you use the sky crystal, can you attack it which means nimbus shroud is removed? very hard to farm the shard, so i need the clarification on this

Do you need rang class to help kill or just melee and agro to the tree?

yes when you use the sky crystal it removes Alanis Nimbus Shroud an tags her to u so no 1 can steal it .I did it on my dk an pulled from the tree then killed on the ground . You have 1 shot so dont mess up

Nothing happened to Alani. Shroud was still there and the Sky Crystal one.

I don't know how you guys farm the crystal ...I have been farming for exactly 21 days roughly around 3 hours a day and I got 3 ... am I just unlucky ?.. when do you guys farm them?

My friend got 3 shards in less than 3 hrs xD

First he got a skyshard then in 30 mins he got another then in 1 hour he got another, he is one lucky bastrd.

Been farming mines and i got 2 skyshard in the same day but took me alooooot of hrs farming.

I managed to kill Alani the Stormborn today a while ago with a tricky method, all you need is to mount up and fly next to Alani (ON Alani) then as you slowfall/parachute, use the Sky Crystal and he will go down with u towards the ground then kill it and gg! Don't worry this method been tested 4 times and 100% confirmed it works and it's safe and never resets him! Good luck people! :D

Guide? Roll a hunter and just barrage / multishot anything that moves.. dont let others farm.. just take it all for yourself..
i think i should level a hunter just to farm the shards.. its immensely annoying and hard to get spots.

Lol i am making a guide on where to farm, which mobs highly recommended to kill, how, which class better to farm, how to bring alani down without him resetting, etc.

As of today ..I have killed 18563 mobs with no drop on the place where you farm+the mogus. Sometimes I think I kill the mobs for pure rage dump .. I have so little luck when it comes to farming drops.

took me 3 days to get 10 skyshards from Slateskin Troublemaker mobs :) funniest thing that i feel like it has a 4% drop chance instead of 0.11% drop chance. The farming is easier since these mobs are extremely easy to kill :D As Hunter barrage all these mobs and gg :D recommend to empty ur bags and set auto loot (without a party group) and it will AoE loot all mobs nearby in 1 single auto loot. Make sure u have the mammoth mount to sell junks and mail cloths to one of ur alts as a bank to sell them in AH later on. u can make lots and lots of gold out of em :D
