"remember me" doesnt insta-login

I dont know if its something with my browser but it happened with Chrome and now with Firefox.
The deal is that when you log in with your account, there is a checkbox to remember yourself. I dont know the intention of this feature. What it does for me, is to remember the information, but it doesnt remember me like: go to warmane.com -> get instantly logged. You know what i mean? Maybe theres something I need to config in my browser, maybe its something with the site.
Anyways any info on this would be great.

It keeps you logged in longer than if you don't check it. You get logged out in a few days or when your IP or browser changes and you have to enter 2 step authentication code again. Not sure how it works if you don't have 2 step authentication enabled.

If you don't check it you get logged out in like 30 minutes or 1 hour or something like that.

I just wonder why it doesnt behave like a Facebook, Outlook or Google account. You know? Just keep me logged.
