To be fair, your first impression of a game should never be based off competitive gameplay. That's like complaining that you have to get to level 30 in League before playing Ranked.

I've never been on a dinner date before either, even though they're standard and super cute but you're basically watching the other person eat. And we're also both gamers and he got this new game and I was all like yeah that's cool let's play it... I didn't even consider that it meant going home with him but obviously it does.
How do I get out of this

Cancel it. But dinner dates are great. You guys can talk and learn **** about each other. Movie dates are kind of stupid because it's the opposite. You can't talk or do much but sit there and watch a movie.

Definitely make it straight forward no going to his place or yours afterwards, especially if you just met him. You don't want to get stuck in an awkward situation over his place afterwards...
Dinner dates is more prospectable since most of the time it consist of conversating and learning about one another. Save the movie for another time.

Got all of my hair chopped off. All 13-14 inches of it. Went to a hair salon, girl asked me if I wanted low maintenance or high maintenance, I said low, and she asked me what I wanted, I told her to do whatever she wanted, that made her day and yeah.

Yeah, I'd never go home with someone that fast. The date would have been both so there would have been conversation, it just seems awkward though restaurant and all haha probably because I've never done it.
Although it's waaay too soon for me to date so I'll have to call it off either way

I used to be one of those silly girls. :< Past few years I was spending 2x's a year $400 on my hair (Cut, wash, platinum blonde, toning and tip). Now it is back to natural dark auburn brown. No more dying. C:
But yes, sweetest and warmest people there! Since I am temporarily near LA, and only go to male gay salons in gay communities. They do the BEST job on hair and you'll have the most unique and vibrant conversations. If you're a guy I recommend going to a male gay salon. I was getting my hair washed, then only got 20 sec scalp massage, as well if any female came in. However, EVERY GUY that came in got a 15 minute slow scalp massage. Q_Q
