Greetings,
I'm having an issue with WoW on Warmane, the game disconnects me every 30 minutes. It doesn't matter if I was playing cata or wotlk, one account or another, they all get disconnected every 30 minutes like clockwork. Everything else is fine, no lags, no spikes of any kind, the game goes smooth until 30 minutes of logging in, everyone freezes in place for 5 seconds then I get disconnected. I re-enter account information and get back immediately in the game.
I opened a ticket about it but the GM couldn't help me, he suggested I disable addons, delete WTF/cache folders or even reinstall. Did all that and none helped.
My internet is not causing it as it is continuously connected and nothing else but WoW disconnects on the 30 minute mark.
After some googling I found out that some people had this issue on retail, and in replies to their posts Blizz admins asked them to check firewall setup on router, check background applications that may interfere with the game. Tried to do both and I don't seem to find the problem. I'm posting here maybe someone had this issue before and knows how to fix it, or any ideas how to fix it are welcome too.

I have not had the issue, but it does sound like it is problem with your router. Maybe you buy a nice router upgrade and your problem goes away. That's what I would do.

Hello and thanks for the reply, however I'm playing using the same router for almost a year now, it's a modem/router , and I portforwarded the WoW ports in it and even tried disabling both it's firewall and windows' firewall, so I don't think it's the problem.
There is a little detail I forgot to mention, let's say I logged my DK at 7:00 , and logged my warlock(who is on a different account) at 7:15 ... and kept both windows open and dual boxed. The DK disconnects at 7:30 , and the warlock is still connected and will disconnect at 7:45. It is really weird and doesn't make sense with anything I know lol, I ran a pingtest to google while I was expecting a DC, the ping results were totally ok and not showing any sign of internet problem. So I think it's WoW that disconnects me, but how and why, I have no idea.
Any ideas are welcome, thanks in advance

could be ur comp causing a problem do u have another comp u can see if u dc or not

He is right, you may have something either scheduled or program that is self-scheduled on your computer. If you do not have another computer to try make sure to scan your computer for viruses and malware, check programs installed in add-remove programs and remove any unwanted software, and check scheduled jobs to see if anything is set. However, if you do try another computer and problem doesn't go away, then it could still be something weird in router.

I have similar problem. My first thought was that someone else is logging on my account from another location and that's why it's disconnecting me. In fact this happened just right now as I'm writing this reply. I checked my account info and it says that "last seen: 1 Minute ago from 54.148.231.248". It's wrong because it's IP from United States (provider: AMAZON) and I'm from Europe. It happened few times already that i got disconnected from server and in my account info there's info that "last seen" was from US. Any ideas?

The router was indeed the cause, I did a factory reset for the router settings and the problem went away. I'm keeping this thread in case someone experiences that issue in the future.

I think yeah someone else is logging in to your account, did you gave someone else your account info?

That is 1 of warmane IP 100% sure, dont wory, it is not problem in that.
